A mixer without a battery doesn't work, I have it in the box
There is no battery of the product that bought, it is sold in this way, can it be such a ridiculous thing, you buy a mixer, but there is no engine to run it, for example, they sell it to you extra, I have never seen such a thing in my life, I did not like the company's sales policy, I have a sales plan to deceive the customer, I can't use it and you don't want to buy the battery on their pages, or expensively, I want to return the product, please, I would appreciate it if you could help.

Lid with blade stuck on blender base. Won't unscrew from blender.
Lid with blade stuck on blender base and won't unscrew from the blender. Called KitchenAid and they offered to do a one-time exchange or return to Amazon. I don't trust that the issue would not happen again so I am returning it. Other than the defective issue with the lid getting stuck on the blender, it was powerful and the cordless feature was a great convenience. The newer plug-in KitchenAid Pure Power Blender with 2 Personal Blending Jars, 1700 Watt, might be a better design to not allow the blender blade lid from getting stuck in the blender motor base. Update: After screwing the cup back on the stuck lid, I pressed really hard,l eaning my weight onto the cup, and I heard a very loud snap. After that, the lid could be easily unscrewed with the attached cup from the motor base. Changing my review to 3 stars

Don't put anything hot in it!
For Christmas, I gave myself four of the cordless small appliances in the KitchenAid Go line: the immersion blender, hand mixer, 5-cup chopper, and this personal blender. I am very happy with all of them except this personal blender. For some boneheaded reason, KitchenAid designed the unit to handle cold contents only. If you put a hot liquid in the blender, the contents leak into the blender while blending. This design flaw mystifies me, because a) KitchenAid is a premium brand, sold at a premium price, and b) it would have been so easy to design the thing to accept a gasket, which is really all that's needed to prevent the contents from leaking (I'll get to that in a sec). To add insult to injury, nowhere in the product literature does KitchenAid warn you not to blend anything hot. Presumably, they thought referring to "your favorite smoothie or icy drink" was enough of a clue, which in my opinion is flirting with malfeasance. HOWEVER, other than this disqualifying flaw, I liked the look and quality construction of the unit, so before deciding whether to pack it up and return it, I experimented with improvising a gasket using a thin rubber band around the flange of the blade assembly (see photo). This has been surprisingly effective, so I'm going to keep it. But KitchenAid, if you're listening, this was an unforced error — if you want to keep charging this much, do better!
