Got this for my brother in law who loves a mug as Christmas! We used to watch the joy of painting, so when I saw this mug I had to get it. It was amazing!! Heated up and a wonderful background appeared! My sister who isn’t one for doing the washing, left this mug in the sink to soak the tea which had only just been finished. When the mug was pulled out 3 hrs later..... I know! The mug was destroyed and no longer worked. She replaced it for him/me, this one doesn’t get left to soak

Bought as a present and they loved it I love the heat change and how the painting comes into the background when hot. Just a great reminder of being a kid on a Sunday and watching this happy dude painty happy trees and happy squirrels and not making a mistake but a happy accident great gift for the man or woman who has everything and remembes Bob Ross and the joy of painting and all his lovely quirky ways.

Ordered this for my daughter who absolutely loves Bob Ross. To say she was thrilled is an understatement. It arrived on time, packaged well and was as described. She has taken it to uni with her and says she has the best mug in campus!

I bought this as a birthday present in September, it’s now the end of October. The picture has already started to chip off and there is now a chunk missing off the top, we have no idea how this has happened as we followed the instructions - not to put it in the dishwasher or leave it to soak in the sink. £15.99 is a lot of money and now I cannot get a refund as it’s over 30 days since my purchase. Do not bother buying it, have a look at other reviews which show more unhappy buyers, I wish I read them first!!

Who doesn’t love a bit of Bob Ross? Bought this for teenage daughter at Christmas and it was a big hit. Good quality mug and the black background totally covers the scene I have other colour change mugs that the background still shows through this one doesn’t.

Bought as a present, checked it worked when it arrived and now reluctant to part with it. A must for all fans of the legend , that is Bob- a real treat to see the happy little trees slowly appear when you fill it up!

Bought as a gift and it was greatly appreciated- love the picture that appears when warm water was added! Would recommend this as it didn’t disappoint.

Mug should be great. It's thick (unlike Bob), a decent size (It could comfortably hold a squirrel or chipmunk, like Bob), and the colour change is responsive and vibrant (like Bob). Unlike Bob, however, the top protective film seems to be missing or compromised on my mug. The image started to rub off the third time it was washed up (I've never washed up an original Bob Ross oil painting so I can't comment on the similarity to Bob on this matter). Also like Bob, I don't consider myself an aggressive scrubber so to see it start to fail so quickly is saddening. I guess it's meant as a decorative or novelty item, as it doesn't stand up to everyday use. Unlike Bob. It's been relegated to a shelf now, and I'll miss seeing it daily (like with Bob himself).

The Unemployed Philosophers Guild Bob Ross Self-Painting Mug, in a fun gift box, is a great gift option. However, it's crucial to avoid putting it in the dishwasher as it's not dishwasher safe—unfortunately, mine was ruined in the wash.

This is to replace an identical item. It worked great. However, through negligence the prior mug was put in the dishwasher. This resulted in the image melting. My wife, a professional artist, loved it for its quirkiness and the iconic picture. So I purchased this to be its replacement. It is exactly as advertised. OBTW, it is cheap enough that if I need to replace it again, I will.
