Vegan Caviar, Something Different you NEED in your Life.
Our household LOVES this product. Just for a fancy snack, served with celery and cream cheese, or as a topper for homemade sushi, this seaweed caviar has become our favorite, over Fish caviar. Try it if you like the flavor of the sea, without all the salt and expense.

Yuck!
Disgusting. Avoid. I got this because i have never tried caviar and wanted to, but i didnt want to try he real stuff because i accidentally saw a video of how the real stuff is obtained and it horrified me. So i cant say how this stuff compares to the reAl stuff, but whatever taste this is, it is nothing i ever want in my mouth ever again. And that goes for the red and the black, both!

Great option for vegans and vegetarians for caviar tasting party!
I bought this as an option for my vegan and vegetarian guests for a caviar tasting event I hosted, so they wouldn't feel left out. They loved these!! I followed another review's advice to mix in a tiny bit of good olive oil and sea salt flakes right before serving, and it was a lot better than without. You can't really compare these to actual caviar because it's not a fair comparison, but I loved that I could have an option for my vegetarian and vegan friends. Some of my omnivore friends tried these and said they were great too!

Good texture, but missing that bite
Very interesting product. I would never have guessed these were vegan if someone served them to me. The texture is spot on. They aren't as salty as true caviar, and missing a bit of that stronger umami flavor. But still great for hors d'oeuvres. Worth trying!

Great service and beautiful products
Excellent customer service and prompt communication directly from one of the two owners. Next to some masago, the Caviart looks exactly like tobiko, the higher end sushi roe. The individual pearls are not mushed together like some at home spherification project. They have a firm crunch, individual definition, and they clump together just right for a convincing presentation. The jars have plenty of Caviart for a fun sushi night get together at home or several snacks and main dishes such as bagels, pastas, stuffed tomatoes, and salads. The flavor reminds me of salty veggie broth, delicious and *different*. Caviart is a plant-based alternative to traditional roe, and I would even recommend this to non-vegans as a fun and delicious way to explore something new.

Size Makes a Difference
After watching a video on the product, I had visions that this product would at least imitate real role size. Not so. More of sand grain. Short of eating a teaspoon full, one can not get the flavor nor texture of the real stuff. Works well with ice cream but then again, the ice cream overwhelms the product. Good idea but not nearly as real.

Great value and ingredients.
So happy to have found this!!! Such a better price than other vegan caviar, and love the simple ingredients that do not include soy sauce. Used the whole orange already because I love it so much, and both jars really last a long time.

Disappointing
The pearls were smaller than I had anticipated. While the orange version was thick and nice, the black version contained mostly liquid - about a third of it was water and had to be strained. Nonetheless, both had a similar salty flavor. Therefore, I would consider using them either in sushi or as a garnish.
