AMAZING BRUSHES.dont listen to bad reviews. perfect set
I LOVE THESE BRUSHES. they are the perfect variety for those who are getting more interested in makeup (past a beginner level) and they work INCREDIBLY well. i doubt sigma brushes would top these .if your scrolling through reviews and would just like a brief summary of my review on these here it is:they are absolutely amazing. there isn't anything whatsoever wrong with them and they are a perfect variety set with every brush u would ever need. if i were you I would stop scrolling through reviews and GET THEM. you wont be disappointed. I looked through all the reviews and finally ordered them and honestly i wish i wouldve ordered them months ago. they are seriously perfect. dont even listen to any bad reviews. theres like what 10 bad reviews outta 200 something good ones? ya case closed. get the brushes. u wont be sorry:) and the price is amazing! sigma brushes are atleast 15$ each and these are around 1.5$ each for 22 of them and only 35 dollars. plus the quality is the same as sigmas. DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND GET THESE BRUSHES.if you would like more details then here you go:why i got them- Im getting past the beginner stage of makeup and was finding my 6 basic brushes (while good quality) weren't offering the variety i was starting to need. i wanted a flat top kabuki brush and highlighter brush and eyebrow brushes and blending brushes and i SCOPED OUT all of amazing for the "perfect pack" of brushes. and let me tell you these are them!!!!! I would think they are the same quality as sigmas if not better! i am so happy with them. I will update my review in 3 months so you can know how the quality is staying but honestly i expect to have these for a long time. the quality is amazing and they apply your makeup FLAWLESSLY! I'd say if your getting past the beginner stage in makeup this is an amazing pack for anybody looking for the right about of brushes. there arent too many and i can see having a use for every one of them. they make doing ur makeup so enjoyable haha. i went through all the reviews and decided why not. and im so happy with this purchase!why these brushes over others- first i was looking at a really cute set of about 15 or so pink brushes with white hair. then i realized that they might be cute but the reviews werent steller plus there wasnt a good variety of brushes. so i kept looking. i couldnt find any in my price range that had a good variety, good reviews and good quality. then i found these! first i was very impressed but all the info they give u. they tell u how to clean them (which i found super helpful) and the purpose and number of each and every brush with a close up of the head of each brush. i was very impressed. the deal (while i was looking for 20$ or so--im cheep ik) was still very good since it was coming to about a dollar 50 per brush. i saw every brush i ever wanted in this pack. and let me tell you the qaulity is priceless. the other sets i was looking at either had questionable reviews or just from looking at the picture didnt have good quality.the legendary smell- well for most people who gave this review less than a 5 they talked about the smell. so i fugred i would adress it to keep u from questioning it. first off, the plastic bag then the lether case came in was the thing with the smell. the lether case didnt really absorb much of the smell unles u put ur nose right up to it. the brushes didnt get any of the smell whatsoever and its not even there anymore after a day of not being in the plastic bag it was shipped in. i honestly dont know why people would write a bad review because of the smell since it goes away within 5 hours of being out of its shipped package. honestly its a processed item, get over the fact if u put ur nose right up to it seconds after being out of its shipped container that it has a slight odor. plus the odor just smelled like plastic. not anything gross and it went away and the brushes never even got the smell.the brushes- i really do love them. quickly though just to tell you i think it is great that most of them are black with white tips or a darker color. having the black at the bottom is perfect for not showing any of the dirt while the white tips at the top show u how much makeup u have on them..cleanup- it recommended cleaning them once before first use. i have been awful about cleaning my brushes in the past but i promised myself i would clean these good so they would stay fresh and nice. i cleaned them how they said to (warm water and soap/ brush cleaner) then let them out to dry. don't freakout if some loose bristles come out the first wash (its completely normal). the face brushes took over night to dry (which shouldn't be a surprise considering how many bristles they have) and the smaller brushes took maybe less than 2 hours to dry. I'd say just wash them in the evening when u wont need them again til morning them let them dry out on a towel with the fan on. it says to put brush guards on them but i don't have any and they looked the same as wen i first got them wen they were dry so brush guards are not necessary.applying makeup- the makeup goes on perfectly ! there is a brush for ever type of makeup (liquid powder etc.) and they are all able to have liquid products used on them.one con-i just wish the brushes were numbered. "coastal scents" is on every brush and i just wish the number could be too just so i could feel more professional but i really don't care its just one thing i would love.i really hope this helped. this is the first review ive bothered to write so i hope it cleared some stuff up!-jms

Very surprised...
I was very surprised with how much I love these brushes! I am very passionate about makeup and do some professionally on the side, so I wasn't to purchase a new, but reasonably priced, set of brushes. There were so many positive reviews for the Coastal Scents 22 Piece Brush Set that I just went for it and boy am I glad that I did! This brush set contains 22 brushes: 10 made from Pony hair, 4 made from synthetic hair, 4 made from nylon, 2 from fiber hair, 1 from goat hair, and 1 is made of rubber. All of the brushes are extremely soft and look/feel very high quality. I recommend, as does Coastal Scents, washing the brushes before use. Very little hair came out during washing and very little excess hair has come off since. I absolutely love the case. It folds up nicely containing all of the brushes and there was even a little bit of room for me to add some of my favorite single brushes (from other companies) to this set. I did notice a little bit of a smell with the case, it's not too bad but just a kind of unpleasant "plastic-y" scent. I'm not sure how to get rid of this even after wiping it down a few times. My only real complaint about this brush set is that these brushes are not numbered. I think they could have really 'upped' the value of these brushes by adding numbers (like MAC and Stigma). In the product info, Coastal Scents lists the brushes by numbers (1-22) so that is how I will refer to them in this review. My favorite face brushes are #2, #3, and #5. I use #2, (Powder Buffer), on my neck and decolletage to blend my foundation. I love #3, (Round Powder) for contouring and highlighting. Its bristles are looser so it does not apply light and dark powders in a very concentrated way, which I like. And #5, (Angle Blush) is awesome for blush but it adds color in a concentrated way so only use a little powder at a time and really blend. My favorite eye brow brushes are #20 and #21. I use #20, (Large liner/brow), for lining up the shape of my eyebrow as well as filling it in with my brow powder. I love #21, (Medium liner/brow), for lining my concealer around the eyebrow to help shape it and give it a nice, clean look.My favorite eye shadow brushes are # 9, #10, #13, and #14. For applying eyeshadow, especially multiple colors, I love using #14 (Detail Shadow) and #13 (Medium Shadow) for my inner eye. I then use #9 (Blender) to add accent colors, and #10 (Doe Foot Blender) is great for contouring and adding darker colors to your eye lid.I think that overall this is a terrific value even if you only use half of the brushes. I definitely recommend this for beginning professional make-up artists on a tight budget as well as others who are passionate about makeup (=
