This is a YES!
A bit heavy but what a great case! Definitely durable (nice feel!) and nice aesthetics, but all of the various angles to position your iPad are what really make this case. The kickstand cases I’ve tried make my wrists hurt when trying to type at such awkward angles and this case allows for real comfort. In fact, you kind of have to lean in to use Face ID at some lower angles. Another HUGE plus is being able to remove it from the magnets and you’ve still got protection! That’s a big deal! My Magic Keyboard, although I really like that keyboard case, doesn’t have any protection once you detach it from the magnets; it’s just the iPad. I highly recommend this product! I’m happy I came across it because I was about to settle for another out of exasperation. This is the one!

Stable, versatile and high quality
Outstanding quality case. Yes, it's heavy, but I don't think I'll find a better, sturdier and versatile case than this one. Super strong magnet and great stability, apple pencil attaches and charges with no issues. The price reflect the quality. Highly recommend it, even more for someone who draws on iPad and needs a stable case with a variety of angles.

Best case ever!? Yes,…
I would say that this is the best case in any price range for an IPad, if you don’t use a keyboard and case. It was easy to install, and it fitted perfectly my iPad Pro M5. It’s a solid case and I’m assuming that it’ll last the life span of the iPad because of its quality. It’s very grippy and the viewing angles are solid. Recommend 100%!

Great case, holds up well, wish it was slightly thinner
I bought this case for multiple purposes. First was to protect my iPad when traveling, and second was for day to day home use. Honestly, the magnetic back is an incredibly cool feature for experiencing the thinness of modern iPads, but I tend to forget that its available and keep the iPad stuck onto the case itself. All the different ways you can unfold it and all the stand shapes are rock solid, and the ability to move it higher up or in a different orientation by utilizing the magnetic back is a really strong feature. My chief complaint is the size. When you are using the full case rather than the detached magnetic version, the iPad is about twice the thickness of the device itself, which is a bit unfortunate for an iPad model that speaks towards how thin it is. Despite this, I am ok with the sacrifice for the features provided, and will likely continue to buy ESR products in the future.

Perfect all around!
I love this case! It's everything I wanted. I've had it for almost a year now. I love that it's magnetic and the stand/cover is a separate piece that attaches magnetically so I can take my iPad off it for when I just want it to be light to hold it to play games or read or i can put it on the stand either horizontal or vertical. Sometimes i don't bother taking the case off even because it's not overly bulky and since it's magnetic it doesn't try to flop around too much like other cases. Sometimes I hafta take the pen out though if I want it to really stay because it does kinda get in the way. I also love that the stand has two folds for different angles. The top folds down for a lower angle which is great for drawing or the bottom folds out for a high angle which is great for watching videos! The larger fold is usually fine though since it can still get a pretty steep angle since it fits in all the groves. They're also fun to fidget with, especially the top one lol. And of course love that it can hold it up vertically, which not many stands do. You can also stick it onto your fridge if you want lol. The magnets are strong and I haven't had any problems with the stand slipping even when drawing/putting pressure on it. You can pick it up and the stand will stay in place and it's sturdy and sized well enough to hold it up even on uneven surfaces like my bed since it's flat on the bottom. My last case had a flimsy little kickstand that did not hold up well on my bed. The magnets do sometimes grab my airpods if they are laying on my bed close to it or they'll grab metal utensils on the kitchen table if you're not careful lol. I got this case specifically because the pen holder is stretchy so you can have a grip on your pen and it will still fit! So many cases that fit the pen are stiff and made to fit the pen only with no room for a grip. I also love the color 💜 it matches my pen grip hehe. You do need to be careful when the pen is charging on the side though. Mine has a grip so it's extra finicky, but it is all too easy to just knock it off the iPad and if it falls on the nib you'll hafta get a new nib like I did 😩 without the grip it probably stays on better and I've seen some people even just cut a hole in the side for the pen to fit better. I feel that's unnecessary, but easy enough to do if you feel it really needs it. My pen has no problem charging even with the grip. It's just extra easy to get knocked off. I think the case would still hold up well even if you did do that though. It's a good stiffness without being hard or cracking, but also not too soft so it never slips off. In fact it's a bit difficult to get off, but i prefer that over being too easy. I think if you messed with it a lot it could still break in the thinner sections like the vent holes, but if you don't stress it often it should hold up really well. The holes are all sized well. The USBC port has a little extra room in case you have a chunkier plug. The buttons are perfectly responsive and easy enough to press. It wraps around the screen just enough to protect it from falling on the screen i think, but luckily I haven't needed to test that much. If the cover is on its great since it's a bit soft for some extra cushion. I also wanted a screen cover so I can put my iPad in my backpack without worrying about the screen getting scratched. I used to just wrap my old iPad in a shirt lol. And since the cover is also magnetic it will stay on without needing a strap or anything. The soft parts of the stand do get kinda ugly as they get worn out, but I'm not too bothered as long as it still holds it up.

Best case I've owned
I bought this after another iPad Pro case I really liked wore out for the second time. I chose this one because it was highly rated and less expensive, and given the choice, I would buy it again without hesitation. I am very pleased with it. The fit is excellent, and I really like the two-part design. The magnetic attachment lets me separate the iPad from the rest of the case easily when I want to, which is something I use on flights. Installation and removal are both simple. I do not personally use the portrait mode or the raised stand options, but I appreciate having them available. Even without those, it offers enough viewing angles to cover everything I need. It has also proven to be very durable so far. The Apple Pencil sits on top as expected, though it is not quite as snug as my previous case and can occasionally get knocked off. There is also an elastic sleeve on the back for the Pencil, which is useful when I am worried about losing it, though it is not as secure as the prior case either. I would have liked more color options since I prefer a brighter case that is easier to spot. That said, it is attractive, fits perfectly, leaves the screen clear, and all the buttons work normally with no extra effort. Overall, this is the best case I have used.

Good Choice
Sturdy and keeps iPad in place. Really like that you can turn the iPad into a portrait or landscape position. It is a little heavier than most cases but the functions are well worth it.

Solid, But Not Premium
This is one of very few decent cases I've found that fit my exact needs—I need a case that is either very easily removed and reinstalled (like the Pitaka or Apple Folio cases) or that has a sort of inner case that can detach from the folio part (this or the Otterbox Defender). Obviously the former means overall protection is compromised, meaning it's better kept in something like a laptop bag or backpack for optimum protection, but a case like this ESR seems durable and protective enough to handle all but the most egregious mistreatment. The reason my case needs are so specific is I routinely mount my iPad to a microphone stand—this doesn't really work with a folding case attached. I've tried both the Pitaka and Apple folio cases and while I do like how thin and light they are, I'd rather have some level of protection for my iPad even when the folding mechanism isn't attached. This ESR case fits that bill nicely, and is easily the best around at its price point. The only case I like better is the Zugu folio, but unfortunately that case is rather difficult to remove/re-install quickly, to the point that it feels like I may damage the iPad trying to put it on. I like the magnetic attachment and the fact that in addition to setting the viewing angle, I can raise it up several inches off my desk or rotate it to portrait mode if needed. This is definitely the heaviest case I've used, but that's understandable given all that's going on here. The front and back panels feel quite sturdy, and the additional magnets required to accommodate all those viewing positions are certainly contributing. I don't mind the weight personally, but some may be put off by it. My biggest complaint, especially when compared to the Zugu, is that the front cover doesn't nestle in to the case when closed—this means even when closed, the front cover can sort of flop around a bit, which makes the whole thing feel just a bit less solid and put-together than I think it actually is. I also don't like holding the case in its fully closed position—you can feel all the separate layers and the gaps in between. This also contributes to the feeling that this case is missing some polish. I don't hate this case. It's one of the most versatile in terms of available viewing angles, and my assumption from the heft and 360 degree coverage is that it will do a great job protecting your iPad. But I'd be willing to pay another $20 or $30 to get something that feels more premium, especially given how expensive these iPads are. If you need maximum flexibility on your desk, aren't fussed about the small details, and don't mind the thickness and weight, this is a great option.

Premium, Versatile iPad Case with Great Protection
This ESR case feels genuinely premium and sturdy. It’s a practical, stylish choice for everyday use that will protects the iPad well, offers versatile viewing angles, and includes a smooth rotating stand with a secure magnetic cover. If I’m being picky, it does add a bit of bulk, so it’s not the slimmest option on the market, but given the extra protection and flexibility it provides, I think it’s a very reasonable trade-off.
