I would give this item ZERO stars if that were an option. The plate fell apart into three pieces the first time I used it on our new induction oven set at medium temperature See photo. Do not buy this product if you have an induction over.

So far it works well on induction. Heats up faster than the regular hot plate, The adapter has small 'legs', probably to make it possible to insert the handle; however they also reduce contact with the induction hob's surface, which is nice. One star is off because of two things, neither is important though. First, the handle is pure metal and can be very hot. Second, the heat control of the induction hob is probably off with the adapter, because of air between. At least, it behaves differently via adapter.
