I have been a home pickler for many years, and a strong supporter of Celtic Sea Salt. After learning about lead in salt, the testing showed < .5 mcg. Lead in Diamond Crystal compared to 64 mcg in Celtic sea salt. If using their grey salt it would equate to 73.44 mcg in a quart jar of homemade brined pickles if using 3Tbs/quart of water for brine. I shudder to think how much lead my family has consumed over the years just from our “healthy” fermented products. Diamond Crystal is affordable, clean, local from Michigan, and delicious. Highly recommended and was one of the top recommended salts by Consumer Lab.

Just found out that all the chefs use this salt. Who knew! This is the second box we have purchased, it doesn't have all the other chemicals in other salt nor is it rinsed in chlorine to bleach it. The taste is a little more subtle than the regular salt you by so you can have better control of the taste. This is something I cook with and put in my water for the minerals. Really good product!

This is an Alton Brown favorite and it does appear to be a very nice quality salt. Does not appear to clump in my salt cellar so I am well pleased. Tends to dissolve much better than just regular granular salt and this allows me to bring out the flavor of things better. Will purchase this again.

Purchased this after watching videos from Paul Saladino about higher-quality salt options, and I’m glad I gave it a try. I appreciate that it comes in a cardboard container and is reasonably priced for the amount you get. The crystals are very fine and remind me a bit of Epsom salt in texture. Since I live in a humid area, I transferred mine to a glass container and it has stored well. Overall, no complaints I would definitely repurchase. Tastes good. I did add more than usual to my dishes for a saltier taste compared to my pink salt. But this salt has a good taste!

The good stuff… not much to say but go get you some!!! It’s nearly full to the brim when you get it, no skimping. Great taste, a bit hard to keep clean with the placement of the “nozzle” and the amount of salt in the box, you have to tilt it back to open the spout and not spill salt when still new. I had been using DC Kosher Salt when smoking meats but didn’t know how clean of a salt it is until I saw a video testing it for various minerals, additives, microplastics, etc. It’s slightly less “salty” than your typical salts IMO but definitely worth the purchase. The taste is what you would expect. Typical salt granule size as well. Hope they continue providing a clean and consistent product.

This is absolutely the Kosher Salt you want! I took the recommendation from Alton Brown, and I am glad I did. The taste and texture are far better than others I have tried, and it does not seem to clump up into small rocks like others do. I use it on everything I use salt for.
