Great Book.....

There are books you read, and there are books that read you. My Utmost for His Highest is the latter. This well-worn work carried me through dark nights I thought might last forever. Forged in the desert heat of WWI, Oswald Chambers’ words carry the scent of blood and eternity—They speak the language of loss. Chambers ministered these words to soldiers stationed in Egypt. He knew the cost of human pain and the silence of unanswered questions. His words carry the weight of trenches, of tents, of young men shattered by war, and faith forged in the crucible. A staple of the Christian devotional library, every believer should read through this at least once. Dedicate a full year to it and like adding pebbles to a jar over time you will become full. Full of knowledge of God, grace, and good advice on what it means to be Christian on the journey. To be clear... It's not scripture, which should be a believers first location of wisdom and knowledge of God. But these short daily-devotionals will come alongside and encourage/challenge/inspire you.

What a wonderful devotional! Exceptional cover and printing! Love the classic version of this devotional.

I like the original language. It is a bit more direct. His words motivate me daily to reflect and look inward to see if my spiritual walk is on target. I have purchased and given away so many copies. I have used this now for coming up on 9 years. Starts my day right.

Great book every one should read

good size book and font, really like the classic version although i haven't actually read the updated version. very thought provoking and personally challenging.
