My cat wolfs his tablets down!
Like most cat owners I dread having to give either of my two cats any tablets. They are both rather less than co-operative when it comes to matters medical. I thought I'd got it off pat with crushing the tablet between two teaspoons and mixing it with a little of their favourite Gourmet cat food, or Lik-e-lix, and this has worked well in the past. But for some reason this time this particular cat was having none of it with his two lots of antibiotics twice a day. Several tablets ended up in the bin because he'd take one lick and then walk off never to touch the plate again, prompting costly repurchase of more tablets and a worrying gap in his antibiotic course. In desperation (he was quite ill and I needed to get the tablets in him!) I ordered these Pill Pockets with Amazon prime on account of the fact they'd be here the next day. He seemed to take a liking to them and wolfed the Pill Pocket down complete with tablet, even crunching the tablet or capsule inside without batting an eyelid! What a relief! Now...these Pill Pockets are very small. I recall one reviewer saying that you could get three tablets in one pocket, but if they're normal sized tablets or capsules that isn't my experience (particularly with the capsules), definitely only one at a time. The Pill Pockets are very squidgy so after popping the tablet into the pocket, with half of it still sticking out, I moulded the Pill Pocket around the tablet so that it covered it completely before giving it to my cat. Your mileage may vary with whether or not your cat will like the Pill Pockets - I pretended that they were treats, so I also had to give the other cat an empty Pill Pocket each time I dosed the ill cat, making sure the correct "treat" went to the correct cat! Their normal treats tend to be crunchy on the outside and squidgy in the middle, so perhaps the similarity (albeit reversed) helped to fool him. Their tastes may change again, but I'm happy I've got an additional weapon in my pill popping armoury. However, these Pill Pockets on Amazon UK are ridiculously expensive. You can get them for less than five pounds, including postage from the US, elsewhere online. But, that said, I needed them the next day so I was prepared to pay the high cost to get them delivered within 24 hours. If you're uncertain whether or not your cat will take to the Pill Pockets, perhaps order them elsewhere before it's urgent and test them with, say, a worming tablet, saving the expensive but next-day delivery Amazon reliability for when your cat is unexpectedly ill and needs a fresh packet. The packet is resealable, but I'm not sure what their shelf-life is once the packet has been opened.

Very good but over priced
We have a cat who has epilepsy and it is a total nightmare to give her medicine. She needs to have 1/4 of a tablet 3 times a day. With other cats I can just pop a tablet a the back of the throat rub their neck and blow on their nose to make them swallow, but the cat that really needs the tablets is a total nightmare. We decided to give these a try because at the end of the day she NEEDS to take this medication. The consistency of this product is like a soft putty, you put the pill inside the treat and squash around the edges to enclose the pill. The first time trying I offered it to her and she took it straight away. We couldn’t believe it, it had never been so easy to give her meds. I am currently using these with another cat who is on a weeks course of antibiotics and she is willingly taking them too so they must taste good. The only downside to these is the price, we have managed to extend the longevity of these treats by splitting them up and we use 1 treat per day for all 3 doses as using a whole treat each day when their is only 45 treats in a bag.

Rubbish!
Absolutely rubbish. What a waste of money. Opened the packet and not one of the pill pockets was intact. They were all crushed up at the bottom of the packet. Very annoyed.

Great product!
Pill Pockets are really a life saving product, I don't know what I'd do without them. My cat has just been diagosed with 2 different illnesses and now requires 6 pills a day. He is very difficult to pill manually and we don't want to stress him by doing so. I put the 2 smallest tablets in a gel cap (from the vets) and wrap it in a pill pocket. The larger tablets I put straight in to a pill pocket. Then I put them in his normal food. I find that if I put in his food he doesn't chew them so much - the tablets are very bitter, hence the gel caps. If I give him them as a treat he chews them and sometimes tastes the tablets. He loves the taste of the pill pockets. I've tried without the pill pockets and put the pills within the gel caps in his food - he won't eat them and I've tried wrapping in various other treats - still won't eat them. Pill pockets are the only thing that works. They are expensive, that's the only downside, but at the moment they are invaluable. He's been on his meds for 2 weeks now and not missed any because of the pill pockets. I don't understand in one of the reviews below the reviewer said he can't fit the tablet in the pocket. They are very maleable, like play dough. I'm now managing to flatten them out and mould them around even the largest tablets so I'm using half a pill pocket for each tablets. This still works.

Pill Pockets
I was really hoping these would work, however, my British Shorthair didn’t like them at all. Also when I placed the pill in the pocket I found it crumbled in my hand. In the end I tried one without the pill as a treat, so I didn’t waste my money, (as they are not cheap) however, she turned her nose up and walked away. I ended up wrapping her in a large towel (2 person job) and geared up like an armoured soldier the battle began! She won and I went back to the vet! Good luck

Worked brilliantly for our stubborn cat
Had to give our cat some tablets recently for a while & before these pockets it was a complete nightmare - he just spat them out & when I tried mixing with food he worked his way around them - typical cat! (He's not the sort of cat you can hold & put the tablet just in his mouth & work it down - believe me) He ate these pockets as treats happily & then I put a dry treat in each, so that he would get used to that texture, & I also add a few dry treats to the serving as well so he doesn't dwell on the texture. I then putting half tablet in each pocket - still with other dry treats around he wolfs them down - massive relief! They are a bit pricey but I think worth every penny.

Most wonderful way to administer medication to a cat. Delivered before time which was a great relief. The product too was from a fresh batch

The packet with treats I received was one(!) day before the expiration date. Moreover our cat, who is usually not deifficult when it comes to food & treats, did not like these treats at all.

毎日お薬を飲ませなければならない子に欠かせません。 味もいいみたいで、お薬必要無い子もオヤツ感覚で欲しがります。 柔らかいのでお薬の大きさにより、半分や3分の一に分けて与えています。
