Solid build. Feels good and weighty. Used a few times and Happy with it.

It really works as described but i'm wondering just how long it will continue to sharpen knives with higher grade steel. The surface is already getting a little smooth

This sharpener is a handy tool that works well at either of its two angle settings, but the biggest challenge is knowing which angle to choose for the knife you're sharpening. It performs effectively with larger knives like butcher knives, but I also tried it on a smaller knife and found some issues. If the knife's height is shorter than the height of the block, you need to be extra careful. You can't rest the back of the knife on the countertop because the rolling sharpener will rub against the rubberized magnetic bar at the end of the block, which can wear it down. If you're not careful, a narrower knife might slip down while sharpening.In my opinion, using a metal bar instead of a rubberized one would have been a better design choice. Despite this, the sharpening system still works well overall. Just remember to wipe your knives after sharpening, as there will be remnants of either steel or stone left on the blades.

I saw this online a while back and they sure make it seem super simple to use. Ahh, the amazing ability to fool the viewer these days. This True Edge Professional Knife Sharpener must have to be used by a professional because a 'regular' knife user probably doesn't have the 'skill' needed to use this without ruining their knives or sending themselves to the hospital for slicing a hand.I am sorry for being a negative Nelly but this is not as easy to use as it seems. Also, the price point is too high!
