I have all the HSK books, purchased three different lifetime access programs to "learn" Mandarin, but they are all lacking in one necessary thing: that is, what do all those little squiggle marks mean? This book points out that the Mandarin "alphabet" is still the only one is use from thousands of years ago. It take you through, step-by-step on what they mean, what the stroke order is, and.... well, just EVERYTHING except the pronunciation. But, that is something you can learn while using a phone app... I absolutely love this book because I learned seven Chinese characters in one day and can recall what they look like, how to write it, how it is used in a sentence, and the pronunciation I looked up.Best book EVER.... It is independently published, which is awesome.I ONLY WISH WISH WISH I could get this where I can open in iBooks so I can use it like a textbook. Mr. Author, if you are reading this, can you PLEASE make this available to purchase the iBooks?? PUH-LEASE?
