The updated review:After using these and giving a few to my buddies -- who really liked them! -- I realized I reviewed THE WRONG PRODUCT! So I am updating my review to put things right. These -- the Combat Wipes -- are really good. They get you clean, they leave no smell, they stay in one piece, they are heavy enough to hold a LOT of grime, and don't bother even sensitive skin. I took them on a wilderness camping trip and all four of the crew really liked them. (It was a pack it in, pack it out trip, so they got plenty of hard use.) They are not cheap, so I don't use them everyday, but they are really good when you need them.For those wondering, I wrote the original review thinking these wipes rhymed with Prude or Jude, etc. And those wipes -- I still don't like them.My apologies for getting these products confused!The original review:I picked up a bunch of these to keep in my toolbox and truck. The chemical solution is fine -- leaves a clean feel, no sticky residue, and no smell. But the fabric/tissue is NOT up to the job. It quickly rolls into a ball and the wipe is useless past that. You end up using several sheets for what should be a one-sheet job. I will use them up, but be trying some other wipes next time. Thanks for reading, and I hope this is helpful!

I have a floppy-eared dog. He has floppy-ear dog problems. He is also very picky about what is used to clean those floppy-ears. Most ear cleaning solutions made for dogs are horrible and nasty. We went through a lot of different trials and tribulations before I stumbled on using the Action Wipes that I would use when I biked to work.He loved them. He would actually sit down by the couch when I pulled down the package, so he could get his ears cleaned. No more hiding dog! No more floppy-eared dog problems!Then the company stopped making Action Wipes. Oh, boy. We went through every kind of dog wipe, human wipe, ear cleaner, none of them would do. Return of the floppy-eared dog problems.I saw Combat Wipes pop up on Amazon and thought it might be different. I picked up a pack of Active and a pack of Commando. The smell of the Active Wipes were far too strong, but the Commando had my pup coming over to check them out and to get his ears clean. Success!One wipe lasted without a problem for both ears, which could not be said for a lot of wipes. They seem pretty durable. Although, not durable enough to be washed and reused once as rags, sadly.They are a decent size for what I’m using them for. I would probably use two for myself after a ride into work or a day off hiking.The scent is very light, barely noticeable. This is a huge contrast to the Active wipes that have an overpowering scent.The bag is the typical resealable kind for this sort of product. It will last a couple of months, but if you have an open pack that you don’t plan on using for a few months, I would put the package into another container and seal it up.

I received the Combat Wipes quickly. The packaging size is very compact (maybe 4” x 2 1/2”) so it’s great for traveling. I bought them specifically because I am about to travel around the country in a small vintage camper that has no shower & there may be times I will camp & not be able to shower. I am a little disappointed in the size & thickness of these wipes. That description is likely in the specs on Amazon & I should’ve read a little more. I wanted something a little smaller than the “body” wipes that hospitals use but something a little healthier than a “baby wipe.” The wipes are smaller than my “facial” wipes though which seems odd given they are specifically for areas of the body and called “combat.” They are also pretty thin & “roll up” when using to wipe body parts, which makes you have to shake them out again to lay out flat in your palm again. Making them a little bigger & thicker would lend more to the “combat” name & be more useable, but then again you would sacrifice their compact size, which is also an important spec/reason why people may choose these. Now for the good...I really didn’t expect much as far as cleanliness/feeling freshened up due to their size but I have really felt very refreshed the several times I have used them when I’ve not been able to shower for the day. They really did what they were supposed to. I didn’t feel grimy or like I hadn’t showered at all! They have a very light scent which is nice. I have 4 packs so I won’t have to buy for awhile though I would likely buy them again....but would just like a little bigger size. Now that I think about it , maybe there is a bigger size & I just didn’t notice that.

These are the best wipes for traveling. They are perfect after a long car ride to refresh. They are awesome when camping or backpacking. I recently made several long road trips and I bought packets of Combat wipes as well as Dude wipes and Wilderness wipes. I also used them on a recent 4-day camping/backpacking trip with a group of 13 people.Combat wipes are sturdy and do not tear easily. Dude wipes fall apart very quickly.Combat wipes are packaged well. It is easy to just take out one wipe from the package and it reseals easily. Wilderness and Dude wipes both fail here. The wipes retain the moisture in the package well.Sizing is perfect as well.I also felt that Combat wipes did a better job cleaning than the other options. Whether that be for a pseudo shower or taking care of business on the trail.Don't waste your time with other options. These are the best wipes for travel, camping, hiking, backpacking, sports, etc. on the market. This is a bit cliche but I honestly felt awesome after using these post workout, or at the end of a long car ride, or before hitting the sack in camp, or as an alternative shower in the morning.Definitely 5 stars.

Large wipes. They stayed moist and smelled pleasant.

This is very dissapointing, I bought an entire box and cannot use any of them! They stink like mens cologne...I thought they would be more natural considering.... They are same size and thickness as any other wipes nothing special. What a waste of money.

I had a very wet hike on the Pennine Way. I booked into accommodation and my clothes and shoes were a tad muddy to say the least. With no clothes washing or drying facilities these cloths came in very handy for wiping off the mud on the bottom of my trouser legs and bringing my boots back into a presentable condition for when I went out for a bite to eat.I don't think they'd properly replace a shower or a washbasin but if you're wild camping or just want to freshen up, these beauties will do the trick. They are a lot thicker than hand wipes or the wipes used to clean up your baby after a nappy change. I'd buy them again when these run out.
