i used this tv for about 2 years and absolutely loved it. the picture quality was clear and it was very easy to use. after about 2 years it became a bit laggy so i switched to a different tv but this was a great starter tv when i moved into my apartment

I saw several complaints about the sound quality, and "You'll need a soundbar or some kind of external speaker(s)", but that wasn't the case at all. The sound quality on this TV actually isn't bad at all. That was the only thing holding me back from purchasing it, so I didn't have very high hopes going in. Needless to say, I was pleasantly surprised. Not that it sounds right up there with the best or anything like that, because it doesn't and it isn't, but the average user shouldn't have any problem with the sound quality straight out of the box. The picture quality is equally as surprising. It's a 1080p TV, so don't expect mind blowing clarity, but for what it is and what it costs, it's really nice, and with all kinds of settings that I've never heard of. I actually did very little in the way of setting this thing up. I remember reading somewhere just a few days ago that Vizio TVs are factory preset to the taste of individual countries that they ship them to, and after reading that, it made sense to me why there was very little adjustment necessary. LOL I think I spent more time getting it out of the box than I did making adjustments. Setup was a breeze. It found my Wi-Fi immediately, I put my password in to get it connected, and inside of a few seconds, it was ready to go... or so I thought Naturally, the first thing it wanted to do was install a bunch of updates. Doesn't everything anymore? After downloading, installing, restarting, installing, restarting, installing, restarting, I was finally ready to do a channel scan. Yeah, I got cable TV out of my life over 20 years ago, and I haven't missed it one bit. The scan took three to four minutes and brought up like 48 channels. I'm still working on this input called Watch Free, and as near as I can tell, it's kind of a mix with your station presets and other select material probably based on those stations. In the 3+ weeks since delivery, I haven't experienced one flaw, lockup, random restart, random power down, glitch or hiccup out of it. There are a few little things about it that I'm not too thrilled about, namely the complete lack of RCA inputs, only two HDMI inputs, and when inputting channels on OTA TV using the number pad, it brings up an on-screen numberpad, but instead of intuitively hitting the center button, you have to use the arrow down to navigate to an area at the bottom of the on-screen keypad, and when you get to the correct tab, THEN hit the center button. Next, arguably the most used controls on the remote, the channel and volume keys... Why do they all now place those keys so low on the remote? Those keys are way down near the bottom to the point that you don't really have any room to hold onto the remote. The remote is also narrow, thin, short, and VERY slippery. Overall, I guess it's ok, but a universal remote is probably in my near future. As the title says, keep your expectations reasonable, and you shouldn't be disappointed. If you want a TV that performs like a $1000+ set, then go spend $1000 on a set, and you'll be just fine. As far as its current price tag of $138 is concerned, you're getting a LOT of TV for your money. EDIT: At almost two months in, I've been able to integrate it into my entertainment needs without much of any learning curve, and I'm still happy with my purchase.

The TV began to have a major issue where whether App or trying to watch a movie the TV would disconnect, auto restart then would have to go back to whatever watching & again over & over again. Plus having to reconnect headphone pairing As of today's date June 27th 2026 the TV is still under warranty thru October 1st 2026. I have been respectful, patient for hours while also having complied with all trouble shooting efforts. The issue has bee. Waaaay more than just a little annoying because you couldn't watch a show without less than 5min before continual shutdowns. I did the prior suggestion with Visio's power plug reset a month ago & all thru June besides a Factory Reset today. I asked for a Refund as I am done with this frustration & have been in that over 3hrs. Reps cont8nually disconnected & had to provide ALL Model,, Serial, Purchase Date & Amazon Order # again & again.....9ver & over. A TV should at least work correctly a year - this has not & although still under warranty Visio will not Refund. Customer Svc was also unacceptable even tho I was professional, respectful, patient & nice. Steer clear of Visio Products. Amazin also needs to read this because Amazon does not handle issues in same manner as I was dealt with Visio as a vend9r & needs to consider banning them altogether as Visio acted in unacceptable manner on all even tho I complied with all trouble shooting efforts. Well, Vizio pulled a fast one on me. Last week I started receiving messages whenever I turned on my 9 year old 32" Vizio, that Netflix and other apps would no longer be supported. This means only satellite TV or old fashioned antennas would result in a picture. Since I cut the cable 2 years ago, this meant the perfectly working TV would be useless to me. I gave it to a friend who wanted it as a computer monitor. Because I have another Vizio and it gives me good sound and good picture for a reasonable price I decided to order this one. Set up was very simple. Adding streaming apps was fast and there are a LOT to chose from; both free and subscription. When I tuned it to a program, I thought the sound was kind of muffled and hard to hear without increasing the volume pretty high. So I went into the settings and under Audio there are 3 options for sound quality. Factory set up was the worst (muffled) option. I chose the option that produced clear, sharp annunciation without having high volume. Because of this, it's the best sound quality of any of my 3 current TVs. Picture is great and almost no lag time when changing programs or channels. I had no trouble with inserting the feet - screws and holes lined up perfectly. I am once again very happy with my Vizio TV. As each older TV bites the dust, each will be replaced with a Vizio.

The controls are nice on remote. The possibility of holding mute for 2s and blanking screen when listening to music is a premium features that most 40" tv do not have. The picture is great. The audio in the demo sounds amazing, but actual audio is hit and miss. The virtual processing works well for some scenes, but badly in others. I use a gaming soundbar that just fits under the tv and produces mega sound and has attached subwoofer below. My tv was easy to install. I hope the firmware updates don't break anything on this tv. I did do all the updates initially with no issues, besides agreeing to all these terms of service. You can disable wifi by manually setting ip address to 0.0.0.0 if you don't want to use the built-in apps. I use with google tv attached to hdmi port on side. This tv does not have Aux 3.5 port, so you have to use toslink or fiber-optic. The one weird thing with tv is I have to set to regular audio output for my toslink sound bar to get the signal. It is odd, but audio works.

My son suffered a bizarre side effect from Covid-19 in that it permanently damaged both of his retina. He went from 20/20 vision to completely blind over the course of the night of February 14th, 2023. Gradually he regained some of his vision but it was still terrible. He couldn't read, he couldn't see photos, he couldn't do much of anything he once did. Then he came up with the idea to purchase a large monitor so that it would make everything bigger in the hopes that this would help him to see normally & what he couldn't see he'd at least be able to zoom in on. When he obtained the Smart TV he hooked it up without difficulty & started right up. Immediately he was overjoyed. This GIANT screen allowed him to see most games & text the way he used to be able to! The legs it comes with seem pretty flimsy but they still provide plenty of stability. It was worth every penny that he spent since it allowed him to enjoy the things he used to without difficulties. As a monitor, it was very easy to setup. More recently he tried to set it up to experiment with an old PS2. However, he could only get so far before it prompted him for an SMS code or to scan a QR code. As we are a cellular free family though that made it impossible to use it for any other purpose.

At a sprawling 32 inches it may seem quite small to many but for me it is absolutely perfect. The TV fits great inside my dresser and it is a saving grace to find a 1080p tv this small as many are only 720p. Ive been enjoying the enhanced picture quality from my old TV and its made my Steam Deck and PS3 look great and works well with both. Ive never had issues with the remote not working and it makes the TV easy to control and you can also use it with the Vizio app on your phone. Ive had some small issues like apps not working but all were fixed by a simple update to the TV. If your in the market for a TV and need it to be small while also looking great and being bright this is your best bet. Ive paired mine with a vision soundbar and its a great experience for both gaming and watching TV.

La verdad me sorprendió la imagen, se ve super bien... Si lo malo q en mexico no funciona tiene bloqueado todo y no se puede registrar, pero un un roku o un fire o cualquier caja q convierte a smart tu tv esta genial x el precio, el sonido mmm si esta malito pero para alguien q no sea exigente sobrepasa lo esperado

No se puede usar en México. Termina sirviendo como pantalla y no como SmartTV. NO se puede devolver!!

Buena imagen y sonido por el precio. El SO aunque no es compatible en México es fluido y sin problema puedes abrir aplicaciones o incluso transmitir desde tu celular.

Excelente imagen solo que el sistema operativo con el que cuenta no tiene compatibilidad en México de ahí en adelante funciona bien a mí me tocó una unidad con un altavoz defectuoso y la tuve que devolver sin duda la volvería a adquirir debido a su calidad precio tomando en cuenta que el sistema operativo no funcionaría en México pero como monitor de computadora es un excelente
