Perfect for New Learners
I love this book. Not only is it accurate, but the photos are bright and engaging. It has english, pashto and also includes transliteration. It's perfect for Pashto speakers who don't know how to read, and also for little ones who are learning. Thank you to the author!

Quality, but may be difficult to get correct pronunciation
This is a quality made book. The pictures are vibrant, clear and well labeled in English & Pashto script, as well as an English phonetic pronunciation. I am a spec ed teacher with 3 ELL students, one being Pashto speaking. When I read the English phonetically written words, my student shook her head "no" and looked confused. She would then say the name in Pashto. It was often entirely different than the book's pronunciation. However, Pashto does have many dialects that differ so I am sure the translations are accurate for certain regions of Afghanistan, or other countries. And some of the words were close, so I orobabky mis pronounce the phone mic spelling! I am keeping the book and will write in my student's phonemic pronunciation. I would suggest you get it if you have any Pashto speaking students. It is a great resource.

Adorable book for Afghan kids
My niece had just turned 2 and I got this book for her. It’s hard for kids to learn and maintain their mother tongue these days and I hope this book helps. The photos are also adorable
