YSOLX 500W Power Inverter 12V to 110V for Vehicles

500 Watts equals 4.5 Amperes at 120 volts. I used it in Colorado to inflate a large queen size air mattress. When I received the inverter I realized that the cord was not long enough to reach from the tent to the car. I took a 12 foot extension cord with me and the problem was solved. The unit is well built of heavy aluminum. The cord which connects to the battery or the accessory outlet in your car is okay. It looks like the wire gauge is approx. 18 ga. This is more than enough to handle the 4.5 amp, 120 volt output. Attaching directly to the auto battery bypasses your car's fuse box. There is no danger of blowing a fuse. Most accessory outlets (cigar lighters) in cars can easily provide enough current for this unit if the load is appropriate. Check your fuse size to see the capacity of the 12 VDC outlet. For charging ipads and cellphones there is more than enough capacity. For my trip I was looking for a unit that would allow me to use LED lights in the tent or around the car after dark. No problems there. The air mattress pump only required 350 watts. For a submersible one-cup water heater to make coffee in the morning this was ideal. The size and weight were a consideration. My goal was to keep the load in the car to a minimum. This fits that requirement well. It seems to me this unit will last for years. I will be looking for camping items that work on this unit. Lighting, Small cooking pots, etc. It is also adequate to power small soldering irons, radios, TV's. The limitation is mainly lack of imagination. During storms when power is disrupted, it allows you to continue to use your car to charge your phone. If you are caught in a snow drift and have to stay with your car. Have a small submersible heater and make hot coffee or tea using clean melted snow if you have a cup, ground coffee/tea bags and water. Life saver. Also, if you are camping you can also bring soup to a boil. I will continue to explore the uses of this unit when I am driving or camping. I am also considering a much larger inverter for cooking. This is especially useful on Bureau of Land Management lands and National Parks where it is required that you take you trash with you. I am very satisfied with this unit.

When using heavy equipment is better to connect it directly to the battery, I connected a super tool drill also 500 watt drill without any issues, which takes up lot s of power and a 110 v bulb at the same time , worked well, usb ports charge very fast, I recommend this product

The cooling fan runs continuously…does not shut off even when there is no load on it. It has a power switch on the unit but if its not turned off even with nothing plugged into the outlet the cooling fan will continue to run. Exceptional customer service and support. Seller communication is great.

The product works well but I made the mistake of plugging in both an incubator and an oxygen concentrator and it was too much. The whole system shorted out and I had 7 baby French bulldogs screaming in the cold for an hour before I could rush home over the mountains at midnight. It was a horrible sad song they sang because they were dying. It was an emergency c- section and three got pnuemonia from the exposure. All is well now but it was a horrible experience. I should have been more careful. I won't use both machines next time.

I bought this to power an entertainment system in my RV. It powers everything just perfectly. That is; Eero, 1gig switch, 2 TV's, Xbox and a small form computer. So far it has been running since the day I bought it. It doesn't seem to get very hot under heavy use... The fan keeps it nice and cool. All the way around, this is a great inverter. I like it so much I've purchased 2, am buying more for both of my RV's, and am purchasing the 1500W version from this company. They make great inverters that produce electricity while staying cool, that's important in my opinion... I like being able to set it and forget it. If you need a good quality 500W inverter, this is definitely the one you want. I'm happy with my purchase and you will be too. :)

Very nice little inverter for what I need...laptop and a cooler in my truck bed. Weird that the one I got looks NOTHING like the one pictured here but is exactly as described here lol. Not a big deal as it works as it should, includes all the cables and connectors you need to work right out of the box. I run it off a single 100Ah Lifepo4 battery with no issues.

This inverter worked for one usage on a road camping trip in the car to power 2 small led lights. Maybe drawing 50 watts each max @ .5 amps per (if that). Went to use it again this last weekend and it kept faulting after 30 seconds or so with the exact same load. Of course this happened a week after the return window closed. So I wasted my money. DO NOT BUT THIS CHEAP CHINESE CRAP.

This unit is not a pure sine wave output as advertised, but rather a normal modified sine wave for this price range. In my case this will not matter, but just so you are aware

The product came out very good, it was for my brother to use in his car and it served him throughout his trip where he was able to connect all the accessories. I used it to power my modem, router and network drive in case of power outage, ran everything with no issues for a 5 hr test. Also separately used it to power a laptop as a test, again worked well

the only problem is the connections were to short for where I wantd to mount it.
