I bought this to replace one that no longer worked. The 'Simple User Guide was so simple, it barely told the user anything about setting it up. It stated there were 4 power cords, which there was. It made no mention that the cords were of different length. I started putting out the rear speakers to find the power cord was not long enough and although I have plenty of sockets it would mean I needed an extension lead, which I set up... only to then find the next lead was longer, so I had to unthread the lead and extension lead from behind my shelves... *sigh*. However this was the only real snag. I already knew I needed the Samsung smart things app, so once I set all parts out and plugged them in, using the app was easy and that was it. I didn't need to link in each speaker (which I did with the last one), so one step not needed. I already know the sound is great as I use it on Q-symphony (you must have a Samsung compatible TV to use Q-symphony). Oh one thing which I had with the other sound bar, I had to make my wifi 2.4 only as the wifi to sound bar, TV and mobile phone must always be on the same wifi and I was finding that the wifi kept jumping between 2.4 and 5, so it wouldn't work when the hub switched the wifi. I don't notice any issues with the wifi being only set to 2.4. So do I recommend this soundbar? Yes I do - even better now it is a lot cheaper on Amazon than on Samsung, but if it does stop being Q-symphony, check all (phone, TV and soundbar) are on the same wifi (2.4 or 5).

Absolutely wonderful!!The quality of this setup is frankly unbelievable. As well as the "cinema sound" aspect, the kit has to double as a music system in quite a sizeable room. Our old 5.1 setup was good, but this is fabulous and upscales everything to 11.4.1 with the rear speakers having drivers front, side and top, and the bar similarly equipped with 20-odd drivers. The ATMOS is great and the whole thing was simple to set up, although the quick start guide that is supplied wasn't detailed enough, so download the manual from Samsung.If you have a Samsung phone the smart things app is great for simple control and almost makes the supplied remote redundant (plus it's also really cool to stream music via an app without getting up :-).I would have no hesitation in in giving this 100%

Sounds great, easy to set up. Big step up from my lg soundbar. If you don’t have a Samsung tv get the app to make it easier to get the best sound. Surprisingly satisfying Dolby Atmos sound! Good price at under £740.

I got fed up of the speaker cables etc for my Av setup and opted to buy a soundbar that could make a decent job at recreating Dolby Atmos. I read reviews on What HiFi and this scored highly (even at the original full price which was twice what I paid). I'm no audiophile but the sound is amazing. The soundbar was simple to set up, connection to the sub and surround speakers was instant and hassle free. It is a BIG soundbar, matches the width of my TV (55inch LG) and it is heavy and well built. There is a basic remote supplied which is OK so I opted to use the Samsung smart app for a more detailed control. There are 4 sound options (standard, Game, virtual surround and adaptive surround) and optimisation options such as subwoofer levels, equaliser to adjust the sound levels for front, back speakers etc.I paid just over £800 and for that I think it gives good value for money, sound clarity is good and it is far tidier than wired speaker system!Updated review. I can't recall when but a few months ago I started to encounter an issue where the sound would drop completely and the soundbar would become unresponsive to the remote control. After about 30-40 seconds the soundbar will come back online and resume sound. I have searched online and it appears that a firmware update has caused this issue and there are a lot of disgruntled people experiencing the same issue. Samsung appear to be doing their usual customer service and denying there is a problem. There are official Samsung forums and also Reditt threads that prove this is a wide spread problem. I am not sure whether a further firmware update will fix the problem, but Samsung will have to acknowledge there is an issue before that can happen.

Like anything, you’re always skeptical, apprehensive and anxious about what you’re buying.When comparing sound systems, Sonos is top of the line, but this bad boy came in at a surprising number 2. The system itself is MASSIVE. The soundbar is really large so make sure you have the space!The speakers themselves are great but was disappointed they weren’t wireless, no big deal. That said, unboxing was pretty easy. The only thing I would suggest, Samsung needs to mark the cords, what goes where, etc.Outside of that, connecting this system to my Samsung tv was very easy, and if the lights are not solid blue, the connection is wrong. This was pretty much self explanatory but needs to be said.The system picks up sounds we didn’t ever hear! Rain, snow, wind, distant explosions, the millennium falcon racing through space. It makes the viewing experience so much better.For the price of nearly $900, IT IS A STEAL! If you can’t grab a Sonos, this is definitely a great secondary option, you will not be disappointed.
