Can’t expect audiophile quality for £20, but for the price they’re alright. Bass is a bit boomy, though I’ll mainly use them for the computer and VR. One thing that does concern me is the noise cancellation. Instructions state: “There may be a slight rumble or murmur when switched on… this should correct itself.” Well, the slight murmur sounds like pneumatic drill in the cellar, and it doesn’t ‘correct’ itself: it’s constant. Maybe noise cancellation means creating an unacceptable sub-bass rumble inside the head to cancel the noise outside, and after a few minutes of it one’s head is ready to explode. However, I first insert earplugs and then wear the phones - with Noise cancellation ON I can't hear the rumble, and music sounds great.

Unless you want to pay £120+ for a pair of the very, very best, these are the ones to buy. In terms of effectiveness and price, they definitely punch above their weight. I bought a pair for my wife as one of her birthday presents. They were so good I bough a pair for myself.

As the item description days, these do not cancel all external noise. However, for the price they are excellent. Music sounds really good as a bonus.
