My favorite watch
This is by far my favorite watch. The watch itself is not heavy and i get a lot of compliments on it

Wanted to write a 4 star review, but couldn't!
I wanted to write a 4 star review because no one ever reads 5 star reviews but I couldn't do it! First off, I'm a watch nerd. I own everything from a Rolex Sub down to $20 Casio's and everything in between. I honestly had the absolute lowest expectations for this watch. When it arrived I was like..."WOW!" This thing looks great! I purchased the silver on the black leather band (actually tan, but they shipped black). I was shocked at how nice this thing looks. It's an inexpensive watch which looks like a million bucks. My Sinn U1 was in the rotation for today and I had to sub this Forsining instead. In one day I've received more compliments on this watch than I have ever received on any of my other watches combined! No kidding either. It looks that good. If I had to find a knock, it would only be the watch has a crystal glass "crystal" as near as I can tell. It's not mineral or sapphire, but at this price could you really expect that? No. If this watch croaked tomorrow it would be worth the purchase price. So far it's keeping time as good as my high end Seiko dive watches (think: Marinemaster SPDX). I love this thing! It's fun, it's accurate and it's bangin'! Size is perfect for my 8.5" wrist. Don't know about water resistance (doubt I'll be diving with this anyway). Durability also remains to be seen, but good so far. The strap says "Genuine Leather", and it's nice, but I can't tell for sure. It's definitely leather-ish (more so than most faux leather). Time will tell. Overall, I'd buy this watch again, and I probably will (in gold on a tan strap).

Worth it
Very happy with the watch, hoping the leather lasts a long time and that it holds up to my very active work style. Definitely has a more expensive feel to it than other brands I have bought.

Great Watch.
Glad I bought this. I've received countless compliments on it. The band is skinnier than I'd prefer, but that hasn't stopped the compliments coming. The face is cool and the moving parts give it a really unique look.

Winding gear broken upon arrival, terrible quality.
Screw or something came loose on the mechanical winding gear and was broken upon delivery. I know it's a $44 watch but I still expect it to work. I don't care if it's $1 or $1,000, if I pay for a new watch it better work. It is pretty, it is comfortable, it was holding the right time believe it or not so it could have gear time retention or maybe just by happenstance, good weight and face thickness, and if it would have worked it would have said it was a great value but nope. Broken on arrival is no good when I bought it for a business trip that I leave for in the morning. Very frustrating and now its my responsibility to drive to a UPS to return the defective watch. Just eating up more of my time and money. Prob won't buy this brand again after this experience unless this gets turned around and resolved in a much more satisfactory manner. My opinion only, I'm sure not all experiences are like this. If I'm somehow turned around on my outlook then I will change my review, but not looking good.

Not the one I wanted, questionable packaging, but otherwise solid so far
There were several options to choose from on this watch's Amazon page. I chose one with a tan leather band, and a gold face. What I got was one with a black leather band, and a sliver face. I would have returned it, but Amazon has made it difficult for me to return things, requiring a $7 fee to have it picked up or a free return from one of their chosen UPS sites. The closest one to me is 40 miles away so the cost of driving it there is probably more than the $7 pickup fee. I won't get on my soapbox about that so read on. A concern I have if I were to order one again is the packaging. The watch was sent, not in a shipping box, but in a padded envelope. When I removed the watch box from said envelope, I discovered the lid to the box was unattached. There was nothing keeping the box together but gravity and luck. Inside the box I found the watch in a fitted foam insert. It had a clear plastic cover attached with some sticky tape. The watch appeared to be undamaged in spite of the unattached lid. I read the enclosed instructions, set the time and rolled the stim clockwise fifteen times to wind it. Immediately it started running. I have to say, observing the flywheel and gears move as it runs is pretty cool. I've had a difficult time with watches in the past and I chose this watch with hope I would have better luck. One of the most frustrating issues I've had in the past with metal banded watches is that adjusting the band by removing or adding links seem to always leave me the choice between the band being uncomfortably tight, or loose to the point it always moves around on my wrist. Also, after wearing other watches for a few days my wrist turns red and itches forcing me to stop wearing it for a while. The third, and perhaps most frustrating issue of all is the watches I've purchased in the past were all battery powered. In a year or so, when the battery wears out, I have been unable to replace it with a new one. Despite in depth attempts to do so. Those issues guided me to purchase a watch that didn't have a metal band and wasn't battery powered. Those are the primary reasons I chose this watch. The leather band holds the watch in place quite comfortably so far. I've been wearing the watch for three days; I wind it ten to twelve times when I take it off at night and the same again when I put it on it the morning. Easy to do and so far, the watch has not stopped running. Watches with a quartz movement are typically accurate in time keeping. I was concerned I might be giving up accuracy with a mechanical watch. I'm happy to say that so far in three days use it has not lost or gained a minute. To sum things up, packaging could be an issue for you and be willing to accept the item you get even though it may not be the one you wanted. Beyond those two issues, the watch is beautiful, comfortable, and surprisingly accurate so far. Time will tell about durability, no pun intended. I'll update this review after I've owned the watch for a few months. For now, I'd like to give it five stars, but due to the aforementioned problems, I can only give it four. UPDATE: I've been wearing this watch every day for almost two weeks now. It has been very comfortable on my wrist. With my previous watches with metal bands, I was always fidgeting with them because they moved around so much. I wind it about ten times before I put it on in the morning, and I wind it about a half-dozen times when I take it off at night. It has not stopped so far. Also, I was concerned about how accurate it would be since it was a mechanical. I didn't figure it would keep time as well as quartz movement watches. I have been pleasantly surprised, however. In almost two weeks, it might have gained one minute, but that is all. I've been very happy with this purchase other than it isn't the style I actually ordered.
