I have no complaints about this Turmeric powder. The taste is on par with other bulk powders I've tried.My biggest issue is packaging. The was sent as a single product in a shipping box with a bit of padding. There's a pinhole (or larger) somewhere as the inside of the box as well as the product packaging was covered in Turmeric powder. This forced me to store the product in additional packaging to ensure I don't get the powder everywhere.

I bought this turmeric powder to add a health boost to my smoothies, and it's been a solid addition to my pantry. The flavor is rich and earthy, perfect for both drinks and cooking. However, the packaging wasn't the greatest – the ziplock seal didn't close properly, so I had to transfer it to another container. Still, the quality of the powder itself is top-notch and knowing it's organic and made in the USA gives me peace of mind.

I've had turmeric tea in the past, I've made it using turmeric powder when I've needed something to help me with coughing. I remember the taste of that and it tastes just the same if you mix this powder with water and try to drink it. I do not recommend taking it that way, unless you like the taste. It is way too strong and even though I thought it was mixed well enough, it seemed like it wasn't dissolved in the water when I tried to drink it. It wasn't a pleasant experience.The powder itself seems to be great quality and there's nothing wrong with it in my opinion, however, their instructions to drink it with water is not something I would recommend. I think it would be best to get some empty capsules and put the powder in capsules then take that rather than try to mix it and drink it in water.I would use it for cooking, but I don't have any recipes that I normally make that use turmeric at the moment, so it would be hard to incorporate it regularly into meals as an ingredient.

I use turmeric in cooking almost every meal. Turmeric is one of the most basic ingredients in almost all of Indian cuisine. I always try to get pure and unadulterated turmeric powder when I don’t have time to make my own at home. Most of the ones available in supermarkets are either too expensive or mixed with some sort of additives. One can easily tell if the powder is pure by how potent it is. A pinch of turmeric goes a long way if it is pure and unadulterated. This powder is almost as potent as homemade powder. It packs in turmeric flavor and is great for general health as it is pure. This 1 lb would last me for many many months. Highly recommend this product.

The bag carries a warning that this turmeric may expose the user to lead. That is why I took away one star. Lead seems to be a problem in turmeric (if you Google it.) While this is a very generous supply in a well-sealed bag, I plan to use it for seasoning and adding to my gluten-free quick bread that I make, to keep the quantity of lead in control, if this happens to be sourced from a place that does not have good control over lead. Otherwise, it's the now familiar spice in quantity and not in a little glass jar. If you do make tea from turmeric, this supply should last awhile.

This is a LOT of fresh-tasting, organic turmeric for about the same price one might pay for a typical 2-ounce spice jar in a local grocery store.Because turmeric is sometimes mixed with lead-based additives to make its color more enticing (and because this package does include the standard P65 warning about possible chemicals), I did a DIY additive test (pictured) to ensure it was indeed just turmeric before I tried it: In this case, the clear, uncloudy liquid seen in the attached photo is reassuring; the Amazing Food Turmeric Root Powder passed with flying (or rather, clear) colors. A quick search of the internet shows how you can test your own supply at home.

The powder arrived in a resealable bag which I always appreciate. It's finely ground and mixes well. The taste is fine. Turmeric is never my favorite flavor but worth it for the benefits. This bag should last me a good long time.

It smells good but is even better when used in food. Turmeric is said to have lots of beneficial qualities for health so I am trying to incorporate it more into my diet. It is a unique taste.I made some Turmeric Coconut Curry chicken the other night and the flavor was out of this world.The current price of $10 is also out of this world! Definite bargain for a tasty product.
