Stylish, Compact, and Powerful
The bike is very solid and fits together easily. Nice e-bike with great power, shocks, and smooth ride. Easy and fast charging in bike or detachable. Also folds up nicely and fits in the corner taking up very little space. Owning an electric bike has opened up a world of possibilities for me and I'm grateful for the convenience, comfort, and pure enjoyment it brings into my life.

Totally amazing but I have a caution.
I really love my bike.Firstly the company delivered it to me in 3 days from me ordering it. They are faster than Amazon and really know how to WOW a customer. It was easy to put together and I am a 66 year old average woman, who built it alone. It took me three hours because I didn't read the instructions properly. But it was easy enough and there is a video connected to the order on amazon. Silly me Lol. You may be wondering about the weight. It is 61lbs, Hipeak customer service told me. It is heavy but lighter than many others. The bike folds up too. It is everything I wanted.Caution.However, there was a operator problem that everyone should know about. On my first day I took the bike out, got on and rode on my street. I tested the assited pedal and glided along like a real pro. Then I got off. I was standing there thinking, excitedly 'where shall I go?' and my hand caught on the throttle. The bike took off and dragged me with it, pulling my shoulder, landing on my hip and smashing my head on the road. Fortunately I had purchased a really good ILM helmet for $80.00 from Amazon. So that paid for it's self immediately. I was really shaken and scared. I took the bike inside and made a brightly colored plastic cover for the throttle, as I only really wanted the assisted pedal feature anyway. Three weeks later my shoulder is still healing. This accident sent me a really big warning. So I decided to set myself some rules. For example turn it off when not riding and my feet are on the floor. Practice with it, such as starting and stopping, braking, emergency braking, maneuvering. Know it is very easy to pedal without electricity too, if necessary. I think building your confidence and skill in I safe place prior to going out properly is very important. Also wear protective gear, a good helmet, jeans, gloves, a top that protects your arms. This is not just a bike, it has additional power and you go faster and like cycling there are going to be times that you fall off. And when you are riding 'think car' because they won't think about you. I think of my ebike a a scaled down motor bike.I have read that lots of older people are thinking about buying ebikes. If that is you, you need to consider your health prior to purchase. If you have brittle bone disease, problems with balance, or trouble focusing/concentrating you might like to purchase an alternative item.I hate to spoil people's fun, because these bikes are lots of fun. But I thought you should know. Also I see people traveling on ebikes in parks and on sidewalks at ridiculous speeds. Not only is that dangerous but it also creates lots of bad feelings amongst people and the families who enjoy these spaces. So not only should you 'think car' you should also 'think safe'I hope you enjoy your bike as much as I enjoy mine. And I give a great thanks to Hipeak Bikes for such a fantastic product at a great price. I have a lot of fun days to come.Thank you. Xx

Great eBike!
We have put over 200 miles on this eBike so far, and feel we are at a point we can write a proper review. We have three other eBikes of different models (including a tough, 26" fat wheel bike with 1000 watt peak motor), so we also have a good basis for making a comparison when reviewing this bike.To cut to the chase, this eBike is fantastic, and we highly recommend it! Keep reading if you want more details. For starters, this bike is mainly ridden by Jen who is 5' 4" tall. I've seen other reviewers complain about the handlebar height for shorter riders. She likes the geometry of this bike as-is. I took a close look at the handlebars, and it appears they can be shorted by about 1.5" by cutting some of the bottom off of the upper tube (thus also reducing its maximum height by about 1.5" as well), but she said that isn't necessary and she likes it as-is.We've put this bike through some grueling rides. Multiple 25 mile long rides on a Rails-to-Trails (nice very even grade) as well as a 12 mile ride that included a 1,400' elevation gain climbing a mountain and a 2 mile stretch of very rough hiking trail (Appalachian mountain style with big rocks and roots). The bike has handled it all with ease.Battery life: After 25 mile long rails to trails, as well as a 1,400' climb on a 12 mile ride, this bike usually has about 50% battery life remaining. So far we haven't been able to ride it long enough to deplete the battery. We also have another (more expensive) eBike that I mainly ride, and my battery has totally depleted on 3 of the same rides. So this bike really has great longevity.Power: The power on this bike is great. We have another eBike with 1,000 watt peak power, and the Hipeak outperforms it. Both when accelerating from a stop (like to cross a street quickly), or torqueing up a big hill. The power is very impressive and absolutely is the full 750 watts claimed, if not more.Pedal Assist levels: The PA levels on this bike (there are 7 of them) are really good. There are a good 3 levels for slower speed that are reasonable to pedal along with and cruise for long-distance. In comparison, my other (more expensive) eBike only has 5 PA levels, and huge complaint I have with that other bike is that PA 2 is way too fast, leaving only level 1 for long distance cruising. Fortunately this bike does not have that problem at all! Also as a side note, you can increase the maximum speed of the bike to 25 MPH in a special settings menu, which we did immediately just in case we need that extra speed on the road.Build: The bike is well made. The welds look good, it's solidly designed, the folding mechanism works good (I like the additional safety of having to pull up on the latch to release it after releasing the lever), the rear rack is really beefy and solidly attached to the bike.Quality: One really nice thing about this bike is all the extra "upgraded" bits. It has nice contoured hand grips, the seat is quite comfortable and decent width, there are three really nicely designed bungies built into the rack, the pedals seem good quality. In other words we haven't felt the need to upgrade anything so far, with the exception of adding a side mirror (we chose the option with the bag for the rack).Bag: The bag for the rack (we chose that option) is quite nice. It holds a good amount of stuff, and extends upwards if needed to increase the capacity. It also has saddle bags that can be unfolded on both sides to add even more storage.Lights: The lights are fine. The headlight has a very focused beam, whereas my other bike has a wider flood beam. I tend to like the flood beam better as it seems more useful for actually riding in the dark, but I'm sure some people like the more focused spot of the Hipeak light as well.If I had to find two negative things about this bike, and really, really nitpick, they would be:Brake light. When the lights are on, the taillight stays on all the time of course. However when you hit the brakes the additional illumination for the brake is very little. In other words, the brake light is barely brighter than the tail light, so it isn't noticeable unless you really pay close attention. When the lights are off then the brake light is nice and bright and obvious (compared to it not being on at all).Brakes: The brakes are mechanical, and it takes a good bit of squeezing to really engage them when descending something really steep. Hydraulic brakes would be a great upgrade, but at this cost point they are just mechanical, and work fine as far as mechanical brakes go. However that is one thing Jen specifically mentioned is how hard she has to pull the lever to brake down a really steep trail. To summarize, this bike is great, and we highly recommend it. From the build quality, looks and performance, we really, really love this eBike.

smooth ride
First of all, this bike is awesome! Seems to be well-built, easy to put together, shock. Absorbers are great for a smooth ride. It was fast and attracted a lot of attention. Rims and 4" fat tires are slip resistant and ride smoothly. The large capacity of motor and battery make the bike have stronger endurance, and I can use it for a longer time! Overall, it was the best purchase for me. I have a new freedom to explore my world.
