But, he opened them tonight and I was able to try them out. They came charged. They had battery isolation pads in the battery compartment. Once the little insulators were removed, They worked perfectly. They seem VERY bright, but to me the light was VERY non-directional. (broad beam, not at all, even slightly, focused - That is likely intentional but I thought I'd mention it. Nice fold out handle/stand is attached and works well. 2 - 18650 battery's are installed in the case. Overall, I liked them and was even a bit impressed. (and I have a BUNCH of various brands and types of flashlights or portable Lithium Ion powered lights to compare to)The only minor negative for me, is that you have to cycle thru all modes to turn them off. I do not like that at all on "my" lights or flashlights. From whatever mode I run the lights in, I like to simply press and hold the power switch for a second or two, to turn them off again. But that is simply a personal preference . "Your mileage may vary." :)I like them! I may just have to buy a set of these... :)

Have had for over a year. The light it gives out is super. Carry one in my truck and the other in the shop. charging is easy with little effort and lasts a surprisingly long time.

The light is bright, sturdy and a price value. The USB charging cord is TOO SHORT. It needs to be more than 12 inches long. Eighteen inches or 2 feet would be great. I have a USB outlet on the side of my kitchen counter. I placed the lights on the counter and one fell off because the cord was to short. He connector was destroyed. Had to try to purchase a replacement from Amazon.I GUESSED on the replacement, ordered wrong kind had to return. Took the connectorr to Best Buy and they identified the connector and I bught their items. The product description shows a USB connector but the other connectoir is not specified - its a MINI USB. The AMAAZON listing should show the connector informmation, indfact all LED work lights should show the specific conector information.....some other manufactures use other types.

These lights are very bright and worked perfectly.

I purchased 2 of the double set lights to use as lighting in an event tent for night use. I tested all 4 lights after charging and got various results. Some lasted 4 hours on High, some longer. Charged and retested with similar results but shorter run times on High. Charged and retested on Low light. After researching these 18650 batteries, I found that these run from 2600 mAh to 3000 mAh. There is an 18650B that is rated at 3400 mAh. Word of caution if you research and find similar batteries with numbers 20700 and 21700 with higher mAh rating. The first two numbers are diameter in mm. Second two numbers are length in mm. I measured this lantern and it can only accommodate the 18650 size button top battery. A search on eBay found a 18650 button top rated at 9800 mAh in varying lots. For example, I purchased a lot of 8 batteries for $20 - free shipping. I'll write an update after I get the new high capacity batteries, but that seller has a 100% rating so I'm expecting good things. Local battery stores have 18650 for $9.00 - $14 each.UPDATE 11/25/22After receiving these batteries and putting them through 3 charge/discharge cycles, the still performed very weak for what they are supposed to be. The 2500 Ah batteries that came with my work lights last a lot longer than these do. I got about 2 hours max from these batteries while the 2500 mAh batteries provide 4-5 hours on high. Upon trying to contact the seller, I found that the page had been removed from the site. I finally was able to find a "Start Return" link that worked and allowed me to start the return process. Save yourself the hassle and know that 3500 mAh batteries are the highest mAh rating for the 18650 button top batteries right now. These batteries are falsely advertised.

I had a pair of the older version of these, with the 2 separate led emitters and I greatly prefer these to those.The light is bright and the adjustable handle makes a great kickstand to get the light right where you need it.HOWEVERThe rechargeable 18650 batteries in these are absolute garbage.After several charge/discharge cycles, one light will no longer charge at all and the other will charge, but only stays lit for 10 - 15 minutes.Thankfully I have plenty of 18650 batteries laying around I can swap out with.If you purchase these lights, do yourself a favor and also get some better batteries for them.

should work out good charged up fast will use it in the cargo area in a 4 runner
