Short and long haired cat, and hooman approved!Three of my five cats took immediately to it. The other two are taking a little longer.They can't wait till it's their turn!It is not loud at all. It's lightweight and easy to hold, even for smaller hands.When you receive it (mine was already charged enough), introduce it slowly. Let them sniff it when it's turned off, laying on a floor or table.Then turn it on without using it on them. Let them check it out and think it's a toy.I wait till it's touching their body before I turn it on instead of approaching them with it on.I don't know why people say the cat hair gets tangled. I have short and long haired cats. I've even used it on myself with medium length hair! You're not supposed to keep it in one spot for too long. Move it around slowly.Sure, it gets some cat hairs in it but it does not pull the cat hair or tangle it. No different than the few hairs you get in your comb or brush when you do your own hair.The bristles are soft and flexible.I've got one more cat almost convinced. And one that's still not having anything about it. She's young and still skittish about a lot of things. I'm sure she'll jump on board soon and I won't be able to keep her away from it!For me, it's a great scalp and neck massager.How did I find out about this? I saw a favorite YouTube channel with Maine Coons (long, long hair!!) with owner of cattery using it on the alpha male, Mr ViVo. His majesty was enjoying the heck out of it!It's a great way to bond with your cats.For under $18, and the ability to return,(don't know why you would),you can't go wrong with this.

I was very surprised that my Marigold took to it right off the bat. After a little while she closes her eyes and is completely relaxed. I very much appreciate how much hair it collects in the four little grips. My cousin has one too her cat enjoys it and she recommended it. I was hesitant because I didn't think my cat would allow me to use it but she took to it immediately. I highly recommend

Mine arrived in a box that looked used and the item was already charged.I think this might be a great product if you get a new one for a dog or a human that it's too noisy and too intense for a cat. If you see the box it says it's called smart scalp massager says nothing about pets. My cat wasn't a fan so returning.

This massager was such a hit at our house we ordered 2 more for family members. Having another set of massage wheels that are softer is a nice option plus the red light therapy. My son has used this on his knee when he has pain flair ups and it has really helped. I’ve used it on the back of my neck when I feel tension and it makes a difference.It’s easy to use, seems to stay charged for an adequate amount of time, and the ease of swapping out the tips is, well, easy😉.

Not going to lie, totally bought this for me. Originally I was only planning on using it on my arm that has a nerve issue. I was pretty sure that if I tried it on my head it would do nothing but eat my hair (I have long hair). It works fantastically on my arm and hand. When I finally got brave and used it on my head I was in heaven. It will 100% leave you with a strong case of bedhead, but it does feel amazing. I have never used it on my pets, so can't speak to how well it works there. But for us humans it is great.

My cat thinks it's okay for a few seconds then backs away. She loves my massage gun much more. I was hoping to lure her away with this. No such luck.

Terrified my cats. They are used to massaging but this one made a noise that just scared them. Had to return. It was too harsh, too.

Our little dog loves it. Very relaxing and calming. Have to put it up high or our little fur friend will put his nose on it and demand we use it on him. A great buy.
