Good book for divorce situation

Not perfect, but still good for kids in specific circumstances...
For the most part I would say this book is a good read as it tries to break down a very difficult concept (divorce) in a simple way for kids to understand. However, sometimes parents are "separated" or "divorced" on account of one parent just leaving. And one scenario this book didn't really tackle in this subject is that and it tries to emphasize that "no matter what, when this type of thing happens, the parent still loves the kid," when that might not always be the case. And of course, it didn't have to be incorporated so bluntly, but providing that message without having all the bases covered for it can be just as damaging to the child and potentially add to their trauma if they're in that situation, reading this book and wondering why their missing parent doesn't want to see them. Otherwise, it was well weaved together and provides a lot of resources and perspectives for kids dealing with separated parents.

A thoughtful interactive guide to help children
This thoughtful divorce guide helps children process big emotions through interactive writing prompts and simple activities. While the intentionally childlike drawings (which look like kids' artwork) might seem unsophisticated, they likely help young readers feel more connected. The real strength lies in its psychologist-approved approach that gives both parents and kids the right words during this difficult transition.

great guide for young children
โThe Kids' Book of Family Changesโ a great book to help young children grasp how their parentsโ divorce/separation can change their lives. It is gentle and reassuring and written in a relatable and easy to understand way. I like that they are told that itโs not their fault, โthat itโs a grown-up decisionโ. Showing children how to express their feelings is also helpful.

Educational and healing guide
This book describes the changes that would occur in the case of separation or divorce to young children. It does so in a sensitive way by addressing questions and worries they might have. It helps them understand emotions that might come up, how to express their feelings, and care for themselves. The images are great and the whole book feels like a safe place to learn and process the situation. 'Compassionate care for children' is what I would call it. Highly recommend.

Difficult Topic very well explained and wonderfully illustrated
I have to say this book is a gem for kids going through this difficult phase of divorce and helping them understanding better the potential confusion of feelings, sorting them and spending a lot of hope that they are still very much loved although parents are separated. Not an easy topic for the involved hence the lovely illustration is spending a lot of good feelings and are very sweet. Perhaps not for the older kids but for younger kids a wonderful book, well done.

Helpful and Beautiful at the same time
This surprisingly good book addresses the sensitive topic of separation and divorce in a child-friendly manner, avoiding drama and exaggeration. It delivers a straightforward message: separations happen, and though sad, they can be managed. The book encourages children to express their feelings, whether anxiety or sadness, and provides explanations about why separations occur and how to approach the future positively. It also offers exercises to help children overcome negative emotions and build a reliable social network by communicating with other adults. The beautiful illustrations are a welcome change from AI-generated artwork, as each one is thoughtfully created to complement the text. Overall, this book is well-presented and effectively tackles a difficult subject.
