There are 3 types of people, those that hate Amburana, those that LOVE it, and those that just don't know what it is. I was in the dont know what it is, but kept seeing all these whiskeys with amburana. I didnt want to take the 100+ gamble on those, so i bought this stick and put it and my favorite whiskey into a mason jar for 24-48 hours. In that short time, it gave my favorite whiskey this intense cinammon toast crunch smell and flavor. I LOVED it. let me go search out other amburana whiskeys knowing i should like them. Ive found one stick will work for 3 times, on 3 different 750ml bottles. the first time just soak for 1-2 days, the second time 3-5 days and the 3rd time for about 7 days.

I cut off about a 1" piece and put it in a bottle for about 3 - 4 days. Adds just enough spice to make it interesting without adding a burn.

The product arrived on time and intact package was in perfect condition. I have used other products from this company and highly recommend their products. I have not used it yet, but look forward to it.

Came quick, little 4 inch piece. It was in great shape. I used a 1 inch piece for 24hr soak in my 750ml of bourbon made it just right, very potent! I appreciate it

Amburana finished whiskies are very popular right now, but are also very rare and often times very expensive. While these spirals are not particularly inexpensive either, given that it is a very rare species of wood, I feel it is worth the price. I have used only about 1/3 of one spiral so far to add some flavor to a whiskey I have and the initial results are impressive. I am excited to see how the flavor continues to develop.

A buddy of mine bought one of these and let me give it a sniff. Wow! Incredible! He then put a chunk in a bottle of bourbon and gave me a few ounces. It was amazing! Vanilla, cinnamon, caramel. I couldn't wait to try it. My spiral arrived today. It smelled like dust. . .stale, no fragrance to speak of. It smelled nothing like what my buddy got. I'm not going to put it in my bourbon as I fear it will taste like it smells - dusty and stale. I must have gotten a bad one because other reviewers love it! I'll try another brand.
