Got to be safe!
Got a larger size than was required as for some reason this one size was cheaper than my correct size and from my point of view I was not going to walk very far and use them very often! They are heavy and very large for their size but as mentioned I wanted purely for the safety aspect having previously gone quite close to my feet in trainers with a chainsaw while cutting logs!Appear well made and very sturdy!Gives you a feeling of toe safety at the very least!

Yep, definitely go two sizes smaller…
First things first - these are superb boots. Having had a pair of Skellerup’s prior to this that share both the same construction styles and materials as these Oregon’s I can say from experience that these boots will accept far more abuse than they would ever see during “normal” use. Finding myself needing another pair of super sturdy work boots that I can use for general heavy-duty stuff with the added benefit of chainsaw safety features, I’m only replacing my Skellerup’s with these because I eventually tore the steel toe out of one of them by kicking rocks out of the ground that were buried in my paddock. Yes, this was stupid and not the right tool for the job but when presented with a short walk to get the appropriate tool versus a brief bout of neanderthal whaling on summat to belt it into submission… well, those boots accepted many many bouts of neanderthal for several years before their ultimate demise. When used as designed for chainsaw safety equipment, I always felt the confidence and sense of safety that is mandatory when operating something as potentially dangerous as a chainsaw. I was all set to get another pair of Skellerup’s but these Oregon’s came up on a better deal, my chainsaw trousers are Oregon’s so I already knew they’re quality products and as stated earlier, in terms of build and materials the Oregon’s and the Skellerup’s are much the same thing.Chances are you found the above somewhat interesting but what you really wanted to know is whether all the other reviews on here saying “you need a smaller size!” are right. Yes, they are. Completely. I was a bit sceptical but ordered 43’s (UK 9’s) instead of my normal UK 10.5 and honestly, I’m thinking a 42 (UK 8.5) would have been perfect. Feels a bit odd and super risky deliberately getting smaller boots but you’ll be super-pleased you did!Stay safe and remember that kicking rocks out of the ground with your good boots is dumb. Really dumb. And my old boots? Too damned good to throw away! I drilled out the steel toe, wired it back to the main boot body and now I wear them like I’m the flippin’ Road Warrior himself!!!

Good boots, shame about the sizing.
These wellies are very similar to the ones sold by other chainsaw PPE brands but these are the cheaper ones. They offer the same class 3 protection and have the lace up backs. They feel very study and seem to be good value for money if you are planning to be doing your work from the ground (I am unsure how suitable they would be for tree climbing). With regards to comfort, I can’t really comment on that due to the sizing issue. I purchased a pair one size smaller then my normal boot size based on previous reviews. However, these were still way too big for me and unfortunately I was unable to find any in the next size down to trade them for. If you are planning on getting these wellies, I would recommend possible going 1.5 to 2 sizes down from your normal boot size.

Superb value, high safety.
Fantastic kit for a great price. As per all other reviews these are BIG so you do need to go 1 size down i'm normally 44-45 (10-11) but got these in 43 and put some arch supports in and they are very comfy.Worn during tree climb in 2 stirrups and no fatigue to feet, in fact the stiff sole helped support my feet.Had a little paddle in them too and feet stayed dry and pretty good grip on slippy river rocks.I've seen the oregon videos showing testing so these are guaranteed to protect from little mishaps.Very happy.

Good boots but sizing is iffy
These are well made sturdy boots. As work boots with Kevlar fronts, safety soles and toe caps, they’re never going to be carpet slippers. My only gripe is they come up huge. I normally wear EU47 but after some trial and error found EU43 fitted, even wearing thick socks. My chainsaw trousers fitted over the top ok so no sawdust in the boots. Like the ridge on the heels so you can get them off without a boot Jack.

Solid and comfortable
I bought size 12 and they are just right and comfortable with thin socks. The downside is that they are very heavy and completely inflexible in the sole. I have fat calf's but they still fit well. For me they were a Good choice as they are like Wellington boots but my son prefers a more hiking boot style.

Robust heavy duty boot - Go one size down
These are robust heavy boots, as would be expected for a pair of chainsaw boots, and seem well made. They are heavy, but not excessive if you are used to wear work boots. But if you normally live in trainers it will be a shock on the system! In terms of size would normally wear a 44 (approx. 9.5 to 10) but went for a 43 (size 9) and there is still room to spare, leaving space for a thick pair of socks and an additional insole. They do have a hard stiff sole, which could take some getting used too. So having space for a good quality insole is no harm.

Stora i storleken
