I stripped out my rear differential fill plug on my old Chevy. The 3/8 fit, but wouldn't grip good enough, and the 1/2 was too big. Ended up taking the 3/8 to my bench grinder, grinding it down so it barely for in the bolt, then hammered in and popped right out! So I'm pleased, they worked as they should.

Just hope they work as advertised . . .

Needed to get a broken 1/2" nipple removed within a shower surround. These would work OK on pipes where there is free access to the full tool end. In my case, I spent a lot of time widening the pipe hole to retrieve the hex-end of the "easy out" with a vise-grip. If I buy another set of these. I'd get a 3" version so the tool end extends out of the wall.

For me, this is a tool I rarely use, so I was drawn to the reasonable price. However, I don't know how well this tool will hold up with extended use. If you think you will use this often, go for a model that is machined and hardened rather than cast.

I bought these for one purpose. They are a stubby little easyout that looked capable of pulling a broken nipple end out of a half inch 90 degree elbow. Most other easyouts are too long, and the broken little bit of threading left in the elbow was small enough that other nipple wrench solutions weren't working. The package arrived, and the half inch easy out is actually FAR too small to do the job. Most likely this is because my half inch shower pipe is of a somewhat thin material. That said, I'd still imagine that it should've been able to do its job, and I was left having to find a different solution to my problem, while now owning a set of too-small easy outs. While they didn't work for this job, it's possible I might find a use for them in the future... but I kind of doubt it.
