Oatey 3 in. Mechanical End-of-Pipe Gripper Plug - 1 Each

We had a broken sewer clean out pipe and this thing worked perfectly! It was so easy to install and saved us from calling a plumber. It’s very durable and fit perfectly. Great price for what we got.

I purchase several things on Amazon and was giving pretty in-depth reviews. From this point on, here's the new agenda…. if it works as advertised, is well made, meets or exceeds the description, is a value, and arrives in a fair amount of time, it will get a "star rating" equal to what my expectations were/are. If it doesn't meet these criteria, then I will most definitely and descriptively tell the short comings of the products and you as a consumer will not have to go through the trouble of buying the product without some background knowledge. If the sell pulls that item and relists under another description, I will put the exact same review on the seller's feedback page. Sellers have done this a couple of times in the past, and I was true to my word then as well as now. DR

I build model cars and used this plug to make a spray paint can mixer with a piece of 3 inch PVC pipe. Worked pretty well.

Fit perfectly

Didn't fit into my 3" toilet closet ring. Wanted to use as temporary stop / plug during remodeling when. They do fit inside PVC pipe ok. So depending on application they are fine. But probably won't fit your toilet flange in floor.

Looking something to stop the floor drain, then found this product. Easy to install, no leaking after.

Exactly what I needed. Stop them stinky odors

We had a rubber end cap on the toilet clean out, but a critter chewed through it, so I called our plumber. Yes, there was a bit of nasty spillage, but his father, our original plumber, (RIP) once said such messes were part of the job. His son seems to think otherwise in these days of end-stage capitalism -- it seems our job was too small and too dirty for him to waste his time. So this left me, little Medicare-collecting lady, to fix it myself. I garden, so had top soil to cover the mess, and when that was all absorbed, I loosened the hose-clamp that held on the damaged rubber cap, pulled off the cap with a pair of pliers, stuck the Oatey in the pipe, tightened the screw, and that was that. Perfect, solid fit. It took me five minutes from start to finish (I had to scrunch down on my old lady bones to reach into the hatch to get to the pipe) -- it would have taken him maybe 90 seconds. But thanks to Oatey 33402 End-of-Pipe Gripper Plugs, 3 in, he doesn't have any of my money, and he will no longer waste any of my time. As for the critter -- chew through that, buck-o.
