they taste good,but are a little hard to open

They are convenient. They last a long time without refrigeration. I have been using them for years on automatic purchases on Amazon. (Subscribe and Save) I use two in my cup of coffee. As well as sometimes in my hot cereal. I have taken some with me traveling. Love the convenience and no refrigeration needed.
