This window film applies the same way as other vinyl films in the same category: You clean off the window, spray it down with plenty of water, and then peel the static-cling backing off of the film and press it to the wet window. You smooth out the bubbles and then trim the edges with a razor blade.The pattern on this roll is printed vertically, starting with the free edge of the roll as the bottom of the tulips - so you would apply this film starting from the bottom of the window and going up, which was a little counter-intuitive at first, as the other films I have tried either repeat horizontally or unroll in the opposite direction. It seems like it would be a little difficult to line up sheets beside each other, but it wasn't necessary for me to do that.The film gives a blurry privacy effect to the window, with additional texture on top of it to give a fluted glass appearance and then the tulip pattern. I am not sure what it is, maybe the fluted glass texture, but if you press too hard when trying to smooth out the bubbles, it is pretty easy to end up with some pretty bad creases in the film. I also wasn't able to get the bubbles all the way out even after several passes with my squeegee, but I don't notice it too much unless it is dark outside and I am close to the window.I love the pattern and I'm glad I took a chance with this one! I still have a couple of feet leftover so I'm eager to find other places at home to use it for the cute pink details.
