I would have given this five stars had the instructions been better. Fortunately, it’s not difficult to figure out. One step for my model, a 2010 JKU was completely left out, since mine does not have a drip rail all the way to the rear, those supports on mine attach where the rear window hinge is located. The main item to keep in mind is not to block the holes where the rack attaches to forward mounts and to do the rear first which will determine where to position the forward mounts and the forward most cross member.The rack was packed very well, the powder coating seems to be of a good quality. All the hardware like most screws are stainless, the rest are painted. I found no significant difficulties with assembling this rack. I hope to find mounting accessories that utilize the the rail system this rack has.

This thing is stout - and moderately low profile. Also the leading edge is angled to reduce wind drag. The people who say the instructions are bad are underselling their comment. The instructions are horrible. Just remember to slide on the captive nut things on both sides BEFORE you bolt together the frame and you will be fine. This has got to be the best packed thing I’ve bought in years - the box has every piece packed in a bunch of precut foam. I did buy some M8 and M6 t-nut tie down points and fit them onto the system afterwards. I got the kind with the screw as part of the loop, not where the loop is the nut. Much cleaner that way. Along the front I used two leftover captive nuts and the M6 tie downs (and took a third and trimmed it with a grinder - that slot is narrower than the cross bars). Luckily they give you more hardware than you need just in case you drop and lose a screw. Very helpful. Mine is on a JK so it mounts on the drip rail in front, and with a pair of feet and a mount to the window hinge on the back (the JL model has drip rails all the way back - make sure you buy the version for what Jeep you have). The car still fits in the garage, too (something a taller basket would not) and longer flat loads, like some 4x4 posts or a kayak can extend past and are strapped down.

It probably had the best packaging of any product I have received! Definitely looks great and is an easier rack to lift up to install on top of my jeep. Four stars given because the lack of direction with the instructions, mostly pictures with a single sentence. It would have taken me less time if there was a little more content in the directions. Overall it’s not bad maybe took me a bit over an hour to install.

Perfect rack for the 2011-2018 jeep jku hard topIt allows for roof storage and still able to remove freedom panels with no issue.Well shipped with padding and all components needed even extra screws and plates if lost.*instructions were mostly diagram pic only no written instructions for step by step guidance.*This caused me to have to use trial and error process a few times in the install process but I figured it out.Other than that, this is an excellent product. Feels sturdy and locked into place easily on roof. I installed alone but having someone help would be ideal.No wind whistle when I drove in town up to 60mphIt looks great on the roof. Great style, and ability to use for luggage and more will be a huge benefit:Has 300lb weight limit for gear and object. But I feel no issue there in future

Delivery damaged. Looks sweet and doesn’t buzz too bad when on the interstate. Assembly wasn’t too bad but would recommend a friend to set it on top. I do wish it had more fitment points to the drip rail but does work. Would buy again
