If you like thick milkshakes and are tired of those crappy plastic straws from the grocery store that collapse before the deliciousness can reach your mouth, these will solve that problem. They're also fantastic for beverages with straw-plugging chunks, as you can use the bottom of the cup to force the chunk into the glass straw. Borosilicate glass is dishwasher safe. It is also microwave safe, oven safe, and torch safe, though after any of those it will need smoother time to cool before sticking it into your mouth or a tasty frozen beverage. The walls are thick enough that these don't feel dangerously fragile, but acts of stupidity can definitely lead to breakage. Ergo, it is your responsibility to make sure your kids are old enough and smart enough to use these as straws, not as drum sticks. They are exactly the size of the hole in a Yeti straw lid, which means they don't have any wiggle room for tilting to the side. I do not recommend these for use with that lid.

This is the best quality and price I have found so far. It's very thick breaks clean. There's no after smell or taste when it's made into drinking straws. Decorations don't come off.
