Helps to relieve pressure points
In the last month of his life we used this so he didn't get bed sores. Gentle pressure that helped him sleep. Took his pain away. The quality of this was amazing.

We'd buy it again
We ordered this Jan 10, 2025 for my wife's mother. We needed something to help prevent bedsores from occurring and decided that this lower cost example was a good place to start. It is now March 10 and we're very pleased with it. Mom says that she likes it (except that she positions herself between two rows of bubbles so that her spinie is not directly atop them), I like it because it assists me in pulling her (on an underpad) into the exact position we're after on her bed. The motor is quiet and simple 2 button operation. The on/off button is the only one we use of the two, and it seems to maybe not be mounted as steadfastly as I would engineer one to be: It seems to 'give' a little downward when you're pressing it on or off (it's a rocker button with a finger curve on top). The short story: We'd buy this very one again if ours broke.

Essential for bed-bound patients or elderly, anti-pressure sores, but unit humms and buzzes.
Ever taken care of an elderly bed-bound person of family member? Well these air mattress toppers are an absolute must to help avoid pressure sores and other bed-bond complications. The shifting air chamber slowly chnange and adjust around so weight is shifted, very helpful if the person doesn't move around much and is unable to get in or out of bed. BIGGEST COMPLAINT - Noise humm and buzzing. The unit can humm and vibrate from time to time, not terribly loud as some people didn't notice, but anyone who likes absolute quiet certainly can hear it. We had it mounted on the foot of the medical bed frame using the hanging brackets that fold underneath it. The low hum and vibration wasn't terribly noticeable when in the same room, but it caused the bed frame to vibrate while attached, which then caused the floor to vibrate so the bedroom directly underneath became a low frequency subwoofer box! ... where you could hear the low humm amplified. Sometimes when the unit buzzed (from motor rattling with case), you could press on the plastic casing and it would stop, but as soon as you took your fingers off it would start again. You could fix this by wrapping something around it to put pressure on the vibration spot, or flip it upside down or at different angle. Since there's no vents putting it on its side or upside down didn't create any problems. It's an electro magnetic operated motor. Ended up using the foot brackets out like a stand and just kept it sitting on the carpeted floor. This prevented it from becoming a subwoofer box with vibrations affecting the other rooms. Some tape or rubber band to put pressure against the vibrating hot spots on the unit itself helps too. Otherwise, very reliable running 12/7 for several months, good pump, no excessive heat or power problems.

Very sad
I was so excited to use this as I have degenerative disk disease fibromyalgia and endometriosis but I plugged it in and left it on static so it could blow all the way up. I then laid on it and turned it to alternating and lowered the pressure and it started clicking every minute or so and wouldn't stop. I tried switching the fuse out and unplugging it for 15 minutes but it still didn't stop clicking.
