I use 2 and have to keep 4 in my dresser!

The color is very pale. Takes a long time to dry. It doesn’t stay on for 16 hrs.

Lemme first say, it’s rare I give 5 stars to a lip color product. Most never live up to the promise of the premise IMO. So color me surprised (no pun intended) that this one did.This is a two-sided product. One side is the lip color which you apply to your lips with the applicator. It’s nicely pigmented and the color of this one is a medium-dark nude. I actually like the color very much and find it works well with my coloring (blonde with light skin with neutral undertones). To note: I would say it skews more orange than pink in terms of undertones. After applying it, you wait for it to dry which only takes about a minute tops. At this point, it’s a lip stain and will be matte. Then you apply the other side which is a gloss with its own applicator right over it. The gloss is not thick and goopy like some are, but rather just a nice moisturizing gloss that has some shine to it so that your lips are no longer matte (and which your hair won’t get stuck to). It feels really good and moisturizing and keeps your lips from drying out even after the shine wears off which it did after I ate. But even after eating, the color was still there on my lips (!) and I could just reapply the gloss if I wanted to.I don’t know that it plumped my lips per se but it didn’t thin them out which is weirdly the effect most plumbers have on my lips, so I take that as a win. Also, the fact that this didn’t dry out my lips like most matte lip stain do is really revolutionary and cannot be understated.I love having the lip color and gloss in one handy product instead of having to throw two products in my purse. This reminds me of LipSense type of long lasting lipstick - you really can wear it all day and eat food and the color/pigment stays in place!It doesn't irritate my lips, and it's very easy to apply.

As my title states the vividness of the color pigment is exceptional. This lip stain product also works well as a plumper maybe not its greatest virtue but there is also no unpleasant sensation either. I have worn Revlon Colorstay Liquid Lipstick for years and I loved how it would last through the whole day without having to reapply. I didn't love how it would dry out my lips at the end of the day and applying a lip balm would remove the color. Dermacol takes what I love about the Revlon Liquid Lipstick (the long lasting staying power) and then fixes the dry lips issues. If you wait a full minute after applying the color, it will be fully dry and you can apply the lip balm/gloss portion without worry that it will remove the color. I was a bit nervous that the balm/gloss was going to have a sticky/greasy feeling but it doesn't. After applying the lip balm/gloss portion my lips felt as if they had regular lip stick on but I didn't have too much transfer when drinking from a glass. The price is great and at a point where I wouldn't hesitate in picking up a few more colors.

This liquid lipstick hold up to a lot and will last all day with a few caveats. If you eat anything oily like a big greasy cheeseburger or salad dressing, the oil from the food will dissolve the lipstick and make it wear away faster. This will not come off with water so you have to use an oil based makeup remover, which dissolves the color. I don't find this too drying at all and the balm on the other end provides a decent amount of hydration. I don't think the shade mocha brown is a true brown though. It's very pink leaning. I wish it were more brown toned as it pulls very red on my cool toned skin.

I have tried other so called long lasting lipsticks and end up with purple stained lips. This one is excellent as you can chose your colour and then put the gloss over the top. It feels good, looks good an definitely lasts all day. I am very impressed. I like all Dermacol products as they do what they say they'll do!

I was looking for a lip colour/stain that I could wear to weddings/events, that would stay on all day, so I wouldn’t have to keep disappearing to reapply. And this worked! In fact it was still on the next morning! It didn’t feel drying at all and didn’t seep into creases, just felt fairly natural. I will be buying other colours now. Very impressed.
