Our shower is large annd deep and mold grows on the left corners where the shower head is because air circulation is bad. We have had a mold problem for years due to several showers being taken in there every day, the mold could never dry out. I tried bleach, hydrogen peroxide, every type of toxic mold cleaner and it never went away. But it was nasty! So I tried this stuff. First of all, I followed directions to a t! I placed a fan in my shower to really really dry it out. I took the shower brush and scrubbed the dry mold. Then I cleaned it. I dried the whole shower with a towel and let the fan dry it out fully. Then I put on gloves, a mask (you’ll need it- it smells like chlorine!) and eye protectant (just in case, the gel doesn’t splash but there were times when I was squeezing out the bottle that it “farted” and I was glad I was wearing eye gear). The bottle comes with a nozzle that allows you to target specific areas. There is a cap on the nozzle you have to take off. You also have to open the bottle- it’s a foil cover you peel back. Then you point the nozzle at the mold and gently squeeze for the gel to come out. The only trick is not to “scrape” the gel with the tip while squeezing it out- otherwise it moves to the side of the grout and hollows out where you actually want it to go. It took some trial and error to master just having the tip hover above the grout line and not actually touch it, but when I got it, it was pretty easy!!! Then I went to town following all the horrid grout lines. And there were a lot. I’m talking subway tile. I did not have enough of the gel to do the whole thing, but holy cow! You can see where I didn’t put it!!!! I would tap the bottle upside down to make the gel move to the nozzle to make squeezing easier. I used the entire bottle. After I put the gel on, I let it sit for almost 5 hours. It was amazing. The mold was gone underneath the gel. I took a damp cloth and wiped it and the gel had the consistency of dried candle wax and just fell to the floor. I gathered it up and put it in a trash bag. Then I cleaned my shower and let it dry fully overnight. After the gel dries it still smells like chlorine, but after throwing it away there was no remaining smell. I am impressed!!! You can see the areas that I put the gel so clearly, it looks like new tile. Some tips: 1. dry the shower fully!!!!! If the mold is wet, it won’t work. 2. Don’t let it come in contact with clothes! I had a blob fall on my sweats and I rinsed it with water but it left a little bleached spot. 3. Wear eye gear and disposable gloves. The bottle will fart. 4. When I picked up the dried gel, I just held it in my hand and slipped off my glove inside out, trapping it in my glove and creating a little pocket for it to be easily put in a trash bag. 5. Even the gel can stain! I dropped a dried gel in my rug and it left a tiny bleach mark. 6. Be generous with the gel. The areas I didn’t put a lot or did thin lines had some mold spots that did not fully erase. 7. Let the gel sit for longer than you think. I had black slimy mold and I left it there for almost 5 hours. It’s gone!!!! 8. Trust me. Buy at least 2 bottles. You wont regret it. All in all I am so happy to find this product and am already buying more to finish the grout lines. 100% effective.

I genuinely had almost no faith in this product when I ordered it. I mainly decided to give it a shot because it was cheap, so I figured I didn’t have much to lose. I was completely surprised by how well it worked. The mold stains I was dealing with came off far better than I expected, and the results were noticeable quickly. For the price, this stuff seriously exceeded my expectations. It left no residue or chemical scent. I used it to specifications. Well. I left it on overnight. Definitely one of those rare inexpensive products that actually does what it says. I’d absolutely buy it again. I didn’t take before pics because it was so bad I didn’t think it would work. All the grout was black before. And it looks great now.

Excellent product removed all the old mold stains I had in my washing machine. The only thing I need to say is that it recommends to put it on and wait 5 hours. It did not work within 5 hours I let it go overnight and the product worked like magic. The stains disappeared completely. I was truly impressed. I highly recommend it

Pro: The mold remover itself does a solid job at removing tough mold. I had mold stuck in tub grout that I couldn't remove with other scrubbing and cleaning products. I've tried everything from scrubs, baking soda soaks, bleach, etc. and although all of those helped remove some mold deep in the grout, it was never enough. I read a lot of reviews on this product before purchasing and I will say it definitely does a really good job. It works much better than a spray or scrub as the gel has time to sit and penetrate. I left the gel on longer than recommended as other reviews made a recommendation to leave it on for longer. I left it on for 6.5 hours. The smell is stronger, like a chlorinated hotel pool (which didn't personally bother me) but I'm noting it for those who are sensitive to such smells. Also if you have littles, make sure they get a bath or shower first before using this product. I wiped down very thoroughly, opened a window to air out and sprayed down the shower with our adjustable shower head and waited overnight before using. You really want to make sure the chemical is completely cleared out. As some other viewers commented, it is intense and does leave bleach stain. I hadn't noticed but I had gotten a very minor bleach stain on an old pj top I was wearing while using this product. My main con: the bottle itself is a pain to use and for me to do all of the grout lines of my tub, it took 2.5 bottles which certainly added up. I'm very happy it worked as I was desperate to find something that could really do the job but I had to purchase 3 of these bottles to do my entire shower which was a bummer. Other reviews mention that it can shoot out (which is very true) and it was tricky getting the mechanic of applying the gel on the grout. It seemed like it was easier to apply it vertically down the shower grout, rather than horizontally across the grout. The only time applying was "easy" was along the edge where the tub and shower tile meet. Application was mildly frustrating and I definitely wore gloves and clothes I didn't care about. It recommends wearing eye protection which I did not do but I understand why and would probably recommend the same for future use. It did shoot across the tub a few times when I was squeezing some gel out. I'd also recommend wearing long sleeve as a tiny bit got on my arm and it did tingle a bit. "A little goes a long way" does Not apply here. Other reviews mention this as well indicating that the best results came from areas where heavier use of the gel was applied. I found this also to be true. Because I had to purchase 3 bottles I would say this was a rather pricey job. If you only have a small area of mold to remove then it would be considered a moderate value but if you have a bigger surface to kill then it will definitely cost more as I found one bottle doesn't get very far. In comparison though, I've spent money on various scrubs and cleaners that didn't produce the same results so take that into account

Prob my first or second leaving a review ever in Amazon. I used this on my apartment bath tub that i been trying to restore back to nearly new. For the first time after trying many many mold removers from Kroger and walmart, this thing made it completely white. I wish i took pictures before and after but didn't really expected to work well like other products. I was so surprised i used to for the wash machine rubbers. Not as effective but 80% mold gone. The bleach smell is pretty strong and use disposable gloves.

I had some "mold" around the faucet caulk for the longest time and it was not getting better where it started bothering me. Yes I could have recaulked it but this solution seemed the easier option. Wife did not have faith in product but I read good reviews so I bought it. It took four applications to get rid of 90% of mold so this does work depending on your situation. I am content with results although it is pricey. We're going to use it on our shower next.

I used this on my bathroom grout and the caulk around my bathtub. The gel removed everything and both are now so clean I’m amazed. It was very easy to use, just put it on, wait, and wipe off. A little goes a long way. Will definitely buy again!!!

I ordered this product after reading reviews. I used it in my washing machine and in a couple other places and it worked well. No complaints. It smelled strong but the odor didn’t last long. My issue is that the cap broke off almost immediately after use. The nozzle just snapped off. I don’t know if it was already damaged/cracked when I received it or what. But now I have a barely-used bottle of this stuff with no nozzle. Disappointing cuz it’s not cheap.

Bought this as we had blackish mould spots on the white lining of our hot tub. It had been stored for many months. Some spots were darker than others. This was so easy to use. The gel stayed in place even though it was on the inside and did not slide down. First time if use it removed the lighter spots and then I replied and it vastly reduced the darker spots making them almost invisible. I really cannot believe how fantastic this gel is. So easy to use and once cleaned off there is no smell left.

pros and cons as well as overall rating at the end I picked up the ACTIVE Mold Stain Remover Gel because I had a few stubborn spots in the shower and around the window frame that just wouldn't budge. After using it, I can honestly say this stuff feels like witchcraft. The gel consistency is perfect - thick enough to stay exactly where you put it, even on vertical surfaces, without dripping everywhere. I applied a thin layer over the mold stains, let it sit, and came back about an hour later. The stains were already fading, and after a quick wipe, they were completely gone. No scrubbing, no harsh chemical smell, no effort. It's almost unsettling how easily it works compared to traditional cleaners. On silicone caulking, it performed even better. Those deep, dark mold lines that usually require scraping or replacing the caulk lifted right out. The gel penetrates without damaging the material, which is a huge plus. I also tried it on a few outdoor spots like siding and a small patch on the deck and it worked just as well. The controlled application makes it ideal for targeted cleaning instead of soaking everything with liquid bleach. The only downside is that you do need patience. It's not an instant cleaner it needs time to sit and work its magic but then again once applyed you just leave it and come back to it. Because it's a gel, you go through the bottle faster if you're covering larger areas. Still, for stubborn mold stains, this is easily one of the most effective products I've ever used. Honestly I was initially very skeptical of products such as this as I’ve tried ‘miracle cleaning’ products before which have never lived up to the hype and results they portray. However this stuff works an absolute treat on black mould build up in the house, I’ve now used it on: Bathroom grout Silicone sealant around windows Rubber wash machine seals And on all of them they’ve genuinely come up looking like new without the need for any scrubbing or similar. Just had to put the gel on as instructed and leave for a few hours, then when you remove it the surface is good as new. I testing in small patches on all the types of material first to check it wouldn’t cause damage or leave residue etc then once it was fine went ahead with the main application. Have been very pleased with the results and will be getting more, the only thing I would say is if you have a lot of surfaces to treat you’ll need more than just the one small bottle. Annoyingly I didn’t think to take photos before and after otherwise I would have added them on.
