It’s packed with APOCRYPHAL [books once considered scripture by some but left out of the final Bible] and PSEUDEPIGRAPHAL [writings falsely attributed to biblical figures] texts; a lot of material you’ve probably heard about but never actually read. The layout is clean, the print is readable, and it doesn’t feel overly academic or preachy. Just straight access to the texts.What’s especially intriguing is that some of these books were actually included in earlier versions of the Bible. They’re part of what’s known as the DEUTEROCANONICAL or contested books, later removed over time. Seeing what was once considered scripture, and exploring why it may have been cut, adds a whole new layer to understanding canon history and how the Bible we know today came together.It’s a big book, but that’s expected with how much it covers. This is one of the best book finds I have purchased this year. I am so impressed with this book and happy with its purchase. This is a must have for anyone who wants to study the bible and go deeper in the knowledge of spiritual things. I have gained so much wisdom. It answers a lot of questions that I have had over the years and was not able to get from church or pastors. I enjoy this so much that I find myself up very late in the early mornings reading and not wanting to stop. This book is for wisdom seekers, who want to grow spiritually and want knowledge.

So far I love it! Well made, layout is great. Written in understandable language (modernish English.) The shortened verses can be challenging but easy to find the original text either by internet search or reference book.

Only read a few first chapters so far and it seems legit thus far, wish the print was bigger since the book is humongous and is very difficult to hold. Very good read and a lot of cool historical stories weather fake or true still entertaining and something to learn from.

I purchased this book as a gift to myself for Christmas. It is much larger than I expected it to be, but that is not necessarily a bad thing. I’ve only just begun to read it, but I find it a great addition to my regular biblical reading. The type is easy to read, and the table of contents makes it easy to locate specific chapter titles. A very comprehensive volume, I would highly recommend this publication.
