Quiet and easy to fit
My current fan, a standard design with a grille fascia, had given up the ghost after seven years so this was a more modern looking replacement. The fan comes in three parts, the working bit with electrical connections and fan, a covering panel and finally the front fascia. The fascia comes with a blue decorative strip fitted with alternative red, green and yellow strips supplied. The strips are illuminated by an LED pilot light when the fan is operating which is when the colour glows which makes choice of strip more relevant. The fixing holes did not align perfectly with the previous fan which meant some redrilling and adjustment was required but as the hole through the wall was already drilled that was not too much of a problem.Setting the run on time is somewhat hit and miss involving a small screw and the tiny screwdriver provided. With a screw fully clockwise the run on is 30 minutes and fully anti-clockwise one minute so any time in between is guesswork and with the fascia and fan cover needing to be removed to make any adjustment I suspect most people will live with their initial settings unless it is unsuitably short or interminably long. The wiring connectors are satisfyingly large and enclosed in a lidded compartment although the snap lock locking mechanism for the cover could be a better and less flimsy design. As for noise, this is much quieter than my previous fan. It is not completely silent, despite the name, but is certainly not noisy, hardly audible and little more than a background whisper. It has back draft shutter which is merely a ring of cellophane type material acting as a flap blown open when the fan is working but prevented from bending back when it the fan stops, a simple, somewhat flimsy yet effective draught excluder – interesting to see how long it lasts, not that you will see as it is well hidden away at the back of the fan blades..The extractor seems well made, looks attractive, more so than the utilitarian and industrial style grille models, is easy to fit, especially as a replacement unit where the wiring is already in place, which makes it a simple task for any competent DIY enthusiast. The fan is remarkably quiet and at 8w is hardly going to set the electricity meter racing. As it is only just fitted I cannot speak about reliability but it was easy to install and works as promised, so we will see.

Good but not silent
Look ok and easy to install.Definitely not 'silent'. It also depends on what ducting you have to expel the air. Plain tubes act like 'organ pipes' and can be noisy. The concertina ducting is much quieter.

Really good extractor, not silent but it’s job well.
Used in a downstairs cloakroom.Great value for money, not the cheapest but then the best nearly always isn’t.

very quiet and excellent design
nice looking fan that has the benefit of being very quiet and looks a little different to a standard fan. used the blue colour when its running but interchangeable and easy to fit, timing easy to change and really happy with the fan

ok, but nothing special...
First impressions after installation and testing: its not particularly quiet but it is not that loud. I think it may be a little quieter than the fan it replaced but that is not hard since my old fan was very old. In terms of design, there appear to be some flaws with the product as a whole: a small tool was attached to the inside of the fan and i assume that it was supposed to be for adjusting the timing settings. However, the tool had a slot head and the screw which i think it was meant to be for was a cross head screw. Maybe because i didnt have the right tool, i found setting the timing setting very fiddly - turning the screw a little seem to change the timing a lot. Also, one of the faceplates had some access screws, which were difficult to get to - my screw driver was too big. i guess it was designed this way maybe to reduce the likelihood of water ingress but it just made the task of installation more difficult. Lastly, there is a thin bit of plastic at the back of the fan which is supposed to help prevent backdraft, but it is so flimsy that i cant see it doing its job very well and i don't expect this bit to last that long. Overall, its a fan and it works, but for me there wasn't anything exceptional...

Works well
A good quality extractor fan. Had it fitted by an electrician. It works well and looks stylish. The blue LED light is good as it stays on until timer stops. It is a bit noisy but this doesn’t bother us.

Nice product, quiet.
Installed easily and wired to the light, remains on after switched off for 20 mins. Not too noisy and does the job.
