Orbit 58009 Dad’s Reliable Metal Sprinkler

I’ve been using the Orbit 58009 Dad’s Reliable Metal Sprinkler for a while now, and it’s easily one of the most dependable sprinklers I’ve owned. The first thing you notice is the solid metal construction—it feels sturdy right out of the box and holds up well compared to the plastic ones that tend to crack or wear out. It has a nice weight to it, so it stays in place even when the water pressure is turned up. Performance-wise, it does exactly what you want: consistent, even coverage without any fuss. The spray pattern is simple but effective, making it great for watering medium-sized lawn areas without having to constantly reposition it. I also appreciate how easy it is to hook up and get going—no complicated adjustments needed. If there’s anything to note, it’s that it’s more of a straightforward, no-frills sprinkler. You won’t get a bunch of customizable spray patterns, but that’s kind of the point—it just works. Overall, this is a durable, reliable option that gets the job done every time. If you’re tired of replacing flimsy sprinklers, this one is definitely worth it.

Probably one of the simplest and most durable sprinklers you can get. Being cast iron it is heavier than other lightweight sprinklers. Less likely to flip over. Spray is even and symmetrical even when you set the water to a lower pressure. Coating is very durable, won’t chip or flake. It’s my go-to sprinkler especially if I need to water in small locations. Highly recommended!

This unit stays in place even when you use the maximum volume. It's spray pattern is great at the higher volumes. At lower volume mine tends to spray more to the to the right. Should last a long time! Thus the 4 stars.

Works great, no moving parts to break or wear out. Made of metal so no concern for UV sun damage while it sits outside.

This sprinkler is extremely useful for smaller areas of the garden. It shoots a gentle fountain that is easily controlled at the spigot or in-line ball valve attachment. I use it at the end of 125ft of stainless hose. I put a ball valve between the 100ft and the 25ft hoses so I don't have to go all the way back to spigot to turn off water and move sprinkler. Simple, no parts to break or wear out.
