My wife knows I like magnets and so she gets these kinds of things for me when I don't know about them. However, this time I ordered them myself. So like other things that I've reviewed, she takes them from me and gives them back to me for Christmas or birthday or whatever comes first.This is pretty cool gift because not only is it fun to play with but it's actually utilitarian in that I can write with it, too.

I found a great gift idea for curious young minds, and honestly, I love it too. I bought these as gifts for my kids. They were thrilled by the fact that it looks and functions like a pen, but can be taken apart and played with. It's a great way to keep someone occupied. Since my kids enjoy playing with Legos, this seemed like a perfect toy for them to entertain themselves with.I would advise against giving these to small children due to the small pieces. I would be worried about them accidentally swallowing one of the pieces. However, since my kids are all teens, I don't worry about that as much.Overall, it's a great gift idea, and my sons love it.

This is a great deal for this pen set, for it is just top quality all the way around. It includes two pens, both in separate, very nice quality boxes. Both come with THREE ink cartridges that are capped to prevent drying. Their ink is black, and they write well. Their barrels are made of magnetic link-sections that have a VERY strong magnetism. Steel balls included in the box that are not magnetized. This set should never be within reach of a toddler or baby who might put the barrel pieces in their mouth and swallow them, for as I said, they are VERY STRONG magnets. The sets come with rubber tips that resemble soft erasers, yet they do not erase the pens' ink, but are to be used in your creations. To make magnetic figurines, you first remove the ink cartridge from the pen, then use the balls and sections to create. Thankfully, I only took apart the colored pen to make a figurine and left the black pen in tact. When it was time to re-assemble the colored pen, I truly needed to use the black pen as my guide to figure it out. I suggest to observe how the pens go back together as you're taking them apart. If you have a person who likes fidget things, this would make a great gift. This is great to buy for yourself. This is just a real nice set, to be kept away from babies and toddlers.

These pens are a super fun multi-purpose item. The pen itself is nice and write's well. It come with three ink cartridges that are capped to keep the ink from drying out. As for the fidget aspect, it is super fun and unique compared to other fidgets. You take the ink cartridge out of the pen and then use the pen pieces (which are magnets) with the steel balls (not magnets) to make your creations. There are end pieces with rubber bits that look like erasers but are really just for adding to your creations. At the time I'm writing this review they are selling for $18.99 with a 15% off coupon which is a great price for a set of two fidget pens each with three ink cartridges. They each come in their own box and would make great gifts. These are definitely for older kids and adults as it can be difficult to put the pen back together and there are small parts younger kids could swallow and you really don't want strong magnets to be swallowed.

If I had this when I was a kid. Wow. I would have probably not passed some classes!This is such a cool, magnetic fidget toy. The magnets are strong and the cool part is that there is an actual usuable pen!The box comes with additional balls to create little stick men. And there are two pens! This would absolutely make a great gift for those 9-13 year-olds. Something that helps their imagination rather than more screen time.The pen quality is decent but using it as a pen is not comfortable. The price is very reasonable.Also make sure this doesn't get into the hands of toddlers or babies. Magnets can be deadly if swallowed.Like I said in the beginning, if your kid is easily distracted in class, don't allow them to take this to school! Don't say I didn't warn you!

I think these pens as fidgets is pointless. You have to take the whole pen apart to be able to use the fidget aspect of them. They are heavy and have refills with them which is nice. But I just use them as pens. I don't take them apart it is too much work. The tiny metal balls are really easy to lose also. They might be fun as a simple gift, but I don't think they make good fidgets.

I got started playing with one of these pens and within minutes I was cackling in amusement. First, as pens they’re really quite good — they are black-ink roller balls and write very smoothly. Each pen comes with two refills, so they’re good for a long time. But these are the perfect pens for the kind of person who needs something in hand to concentrate on a long phone or video call. You can take them apart and reassemble them; you can cap off the end with one of two touchscreen stylus tips (which worked…okayish…on my phone screen); or you can connect any of the short magnetic tube segments with any of the three sizes of metal balls that are provided, to build whatever design you like. Fully assembled, at a glance no one would realize these are anything other than a pen, though when you’re writing with them they’re a little heavy (but that’s OK! You can shed several of the magnets to get the weight down!). The iridescent pen is especially cool to look at, and makes some very shiny toys. And it’s amazing to me that the price is this reasonable, when not that long ago this would have been an expensive gadget in one of those executive-gifts catalogs. It doesn’t look or feel like a budget gift!

This fidget pen is fun and functional. I love it!
