Stunning, every piece is a little work of art!
Kits like this usually come in one of two ways - either with tabs or without and you direct glue everything together. This type is 'direct-glue' AND tabs on some. I found the tabs rather large in comparison to the holes on this kit, so that can be tricky and I did break one tab already trying to get it to squeeze in to the other side. Just know this might be an issue. The tools this kit comes with are: a small ruler, small scissors, a small screwdriver, pointed plastic tweezers, and a nail file (called "grind knife" on the instructions, or elsewhere also referred to as a "polish knife") or "sander". There is no glue included in the kit I received. I have found it is helpful when you do these kits to have your own "miniature tool" kit just in case the kit you open does not come with everything you might need, and specialty tools do help with these types of kits.I have done so very many of these kits and I was struck immediately with this one that the parts are just labeled with individual numbers - NOT by sheet. So a sheet is not sheet A, the parts on it are just numbered as their consecutive numbers, and no numbers are the same (although loose parts will be labeled by what bag they're in and such on the instructions). Huh. Interesting. The type of wood used in the parts sheets for this kit is the thinner board, and will be more prone to splintering when you pop the parts out of the sheets. Just be aware and take more care in how you do that. It can also be touchy about putting these small, thin tabs into another side. Take care with it. Some of the cutouts on the large sheet of paper can be right in the middle of it so they're difficult to get to, but just try to get there. Take care that you don't "lose" (cut out) other numbers of items accidentally. This kit is extremely intricate and is going to take longer than your more beginner kits to do. Every single little bit of this is created - so it can take awhile just to do one piece. That's kind of what I mean by "take longer". There are a LOT of little pieces and detail work to do. (See: when you open the kit just how many beads and such there are in it!)In the end, of course, you will have a beautiful little work of art that you put together yourself. These kinds of kits are relaxing and the detail work helps your mind focus on something other than your regular day-to-day stressors. Whether you're thinking of purchasing this for yourself, a family member, or a gift for others... it's a good pick in my opinion. Definitely recommend!

Quite the Intricate Build
I found the Plustopoy Miniature House Kit and thought it would be nice to get back into model building so I thought this would be great. Of course, when I open the box I start to get scared as there are several pieces and it's a bit daunting at first glance. The kit is made well and comes complete with everything you need except glue (small scissors, screwdriver, light kit, miscellaneous jewel pieces, stickers, etc). I really like the instructions providing you with color illustrations as they are nice and legible. With this being my first project like this (and it's huge), I know this won't be a quick finish but will get in a groove I'm sure.

Pictures are not very clear.
Pictures are not very clear, especially since the printed instructions are so limited. Not a model for beginners.

intermediate to advanced miniature kit
This is an incredibly detailed and intricate miniature kit, one that is definitely not for the feint of heart. There are so many little pieces that have to be put together to create this masterpiece, each piece made from even tinier pieces. The finished product is under 10 inches on each side but there are so many details and design elements that it is going to take a good long time to complete. It's perfect for wintertime when you're snowed in or something to put together over time (if you can handle that lol.) There are pieces that are smaller and thinner and more easily broken but usually a little dab of glue fixes most mistakes. Again, this is for the more intermediate to advanced miniature kit makers, though a beginner is more than welcome to attempt this for their first kit. Just be incredibly patient and you'll get through it and have an incredible magical house to display at the end.

Not for beginners
Building miniature kits like this one is one of my favorite things to do. This kit includes small scissors, small ruler, nail file sander and plastic tweezers. You will need glue I use a white glue and a gel type model/super glue. A craft knife which helps to punch out the pieces and a pair of small pliers for any wire that needs cut or bent. This kit requires you to cut items from templates. Cut out paper pieces that are used as floor and wall covering and some paper items are also decorative. It also has stickers that have to be placed on some items and parts. The instructions are easy to follow and almost everything is labeled clearly I had one sheet of pieces that the numbers were hard to read or had no number at all. This is not a kit you will finish in a weekend I spent 4 days about 5 hours a day so far and I am a little over half way to completing it. It will be a attention grabbing piece when completed. Now here are my issues and reason for rating. You can add a music box to this build but it is not included. Other kits I have gotten in this price range normally include one. Also if you leave the part that holds music box off the piece looks unfinished and if you glue it down you can't add one later. The other thing that was an issue for me was the scale some pieces looked like they could be 1/32 others looked like 1/24 and one or two items looked like they could be used for a 1/12 scale. If you like detailed miniature build kits then you will like this kit if you buy your kits based on value and details pass on this one unless it is on sale.

Very cool miniature house
I am brand new to making miniatures. I started with a complex book nook and loved it. This one is much more intense than that one. I’m sure if you are used to making miniatures it will be way easier. The other one did help to prepare me for this one. I’m not done yet, but so far it seems like good quality materials(some can break so be careful), a cute design and good instructions. It’s fairly large so lots of fun to be had if you like meticulous work. If you do not, this is not the thing for you. My only real complaint is the lack of glue. I honestly am so new I don’t even know what glue to use so that’s been a bit of a struggle.
