this is one full (thick) coat of the polish with no base colored polish underneath. all i have on my nails is clear builder gel, a base coat, one coat of the cat eye gel, and a top coat. i think the provided magnet was strong and worked really well after some trial and error. i had to watch some tutorials on how to get the effect i wanted, but it looks exactly as pictured! the photos/video i provided were taken in warm lamp lighting at night (+ my phone flashlight), but in the day time the base color does come off more navy. at night or in interior lighting it does look darker- bordering on black. the reflective glitter of the cat eye sometimes pulls more yellow than orange, but under a flashlight it is true to color.

Beautiful color. Easy magnetic effect. It's a lovely jelly like color with beautiful shine. The magnet is easy-to-use. Polish is long lasting. Great consistency. Easy application. Nice coverage. A very high quality product. Stunning!

Okay, so this polish is a bit tricky. At first I thought this polish was messed up and the color was wrong. The number one thing to realize about this color though, is it looks different depending on the lighting. When I was actually applying the polish and using the magnet it looked like the overlay color was a greenish-goldish color instead of pink. But when I took a picture with the flash, it was straight up pink. So, if at first it doesn’t look pink, look at it with a different angle and/or light and you will see that it is pink as well. The only reason I’m giving four, instead of five, stars is because I wish the overlay color was always just pink (and stronger) as it represented in the pictures, but I still like it.

I purchased this for the beautiful pink shade of the presentation. The color is really a very brown shade with a note of pink. The polish is very good, quickly dries very hard. Goes on smooth, no bubbles nor wrinkles. I rate the quality at 5. However the color is so vastly differing from the presentation I rated the overall at 4. The nail bed is my own, natural, buffed and dry. Base coat, 3 coats color top coat, base coat, 2 of color, 2 top coats. I dried each coat at 120. The last coat I cured twice at 120, 300 watt UV. My nails are hard, beautiful, indestructible....! The base coat of this brand is the BEST I've ever found, remarkable....super sticky base and VERY OILY top coat. I'll not ever change brands of base and top coat, really. If you touch the top coat of this brand wet, it is oil that appears on your finger, so oily and thus super shiny and hard when cured. I was distressed at the company for the misrepresented color, so I'm writing this review to inform other potential buyers of the abnormalty of the product representation. I haven't ever purchased a nail color that was so far away from the color of representation. I was very surprised. The company must do something about this. The quality of the pro is excellent... The first 3 coats of polish were VERY BROWN, that's why I continued with more layers to achieve the pinkish brown shade. The cat eye sets well.

I’m really impressed with this black cat eye nail polish! 🖤✨ I’ve tried and seen a lot of cat eye polishes where the effect is barely noticeable, but this one is completely different. The cat eye effect is very vivid and actually stands out, especially against the beautiful deep black color. I’ve also decided to start purchasing my own nail polish and bringing it with me to the nail salon. I’ve noticed that sometimes salon polishes can feel thinner or watered down, so I want to have my own products and see if I can get better longevity out of my manicures. My next purchase from this brand will definitely be the top coat to pair with this polish. I’m excited to see how long it lasts on my nails, but based on my first impression, I’m very happy with my purchase. The black is beautiful, the cat eye effect is strong and noticeable, and it looks even better in person. Definitely worth the buy! 🖤💅🏾✨

This nail polish did not do what it stated it would. It did not change colors with the magnet. I did not like it, but the color was great. If you love the color buy it. If you want to shimmer from the magnet go with something else.

I was hoping the other reviews were wrong but I did find that the color was misleading. It's much darker than the product picture. I do still love it, though. Super fine particles that react as intended unlike some other brands I've used. It's definitely thick enough for one coat coverage but 2 coats really makes it sing. I'll definitely be buying more colors, just lowering my expectations. The consistency isn't too thick or gloopy and the drying time was about 90 seconds with a small 85w uv light. *actually, now that I'm looking at the pics I just took for the review, I think the color is pretty accurate

MC1264 is the color I bought, in the picture it's a vibrant blue with a pink cat eye. The colors are not as vibrant and the blue is between a navy/blue jean color with a pinkish/purple-ish cat eye. It's still gorgeous though. In good lighting you can see the cat eye very well. See my photos. I took off one star because the difference between the actual color and advertised photos. Double rhythm polish is my absolute favorite gel polish. It's thick but not too think and stays on until I take it off, usually between 2 to 3 wks. Great price for quality polish!

Colouring is not the same as what is shown. I've received a colour throat is a darker and blue undertone red. It's more of a vampire red when I was looking for a bright Christmas red. Disappointed. Photos taken with and without flash.

Sadly, I was looking so forward to the beautiful soft pink as shown in the photos, polish was more a brown shade. The magnetic particles are true to the photo and do give the velvet look I was after, just the colour was completely wrong. Unsure if it is a faulty product or poorly photographed. Two stars for the cat eye effect. No stars for the colour.
