Hello The code on the back of the sugar bag is a tracking code that tells the date the sugar was produced. The sugar that you received was produced in 2019 on the 64th day. Except for Infant Formula, product dating is not required by Federal regulations. Sugar doesn’t really ever go bad, but to keep the sweet stuff from hardening into chunks or attracting pests, store it in an airtight container or seal it in a plastic bag.
