NICKELODEON SPONGEBOB SQUAREPANTS MINI PLAYSET - PINEAPPLE HOUSE WITH SPONGEBOB FIGURE & ACCESSORIES

I was interested in these for my son who is spongebob mad. He has quite a few of the Simba SpongeBob branded play sets (ie the large pineapple house, Squidward's house, Patrick's house, Krusty Krab) and although they were not amazing quality, I always felt it was good for the price. (Again these are cheaper away from Amazon) I have purchased these exact sets elsewhere (as they are £3.99 each in B&M) and find the quality shockingly poor. Spongebob's house is approx 3.5", Squidward's is 3" and the Krusty Krab is 2". Mr Krabs, the tallest of the three characters is only 3cm tall. Spongebobs house comes with a bath, car and spongebob, Squidward's house comes with a car, bed and Squidward figure, the Krusty Krab comes with a patty wagon car, table and Mr Krabs figure. Each open by the front door and opens at the side. There is a sticker on the inside wall which isn't great (pictures are outlined with black but lines don't match up to the colour in the picture. I've found Squidward doesn't sit as easy in the car and you have to really force him in. Also within a matter of minutes Squidwards door (which never closed properly like the Pineapple or Krusty Krab) was broken off by just opening it, the shape of the door and where the hinge is snapped the hinge when opening. The chimneys on the pineapple and Krusty Krab lasted only days before they came off. The only thing they have been good for is to throw in my handbag as a toy to distract my son when we go somewhere. I say this because if they get lost I am not going to be massively out of pocket and we wouldn't loose a more cherished toy. My son only really uses them when we're out and he needs a distraction. Otherwise they have been such a waste. I wouldn't recommend at all, especially when you consider you can buy the large pineapple play set from B&M with all the furniture and decent figures for £19.99, or Squidward & Patrick's large house together with furniture and figures from toys r us for £15.00. If you still want to buy these sets, save yourself some money and go to B&M. Or I've seen tescos do a long box with all 3 sets for £10.00. Spend a it more money and get a better play set is my recommendation.
