I loved this sourdough kit! Helped me make amazing breads. The jar was much smaller than i expected but you don’t really need a lot of starter for a loaf. I like how there is no dents at the top where starter can stick and dry up. It definitely makes cleaning much easier because your not trying to scrape dry bits out of any crevices. I have ADHD and really enjoyed the band because it helps me keep track of the day and time I fed my starter. I don’t pay much attention to the temperature strip but that’s just a personal preference. The spatula is phenomenal in scraping down everything within the jar. I’ve never used a whisk shaped like the one in this kit but it’s definitely the best whisk I’ve used. It really breaks up the ingredients and throughly mixes them. I also like how its durable and doesn’t get bent up or misshaped like a normal whisk. The blades are nice in sharp and glide through the loaf easily. I liked the silicone proofing baskets because i don’t have to worry too much about the dough sticking and getting destroyed or mold growing like how it would with a wooden one. I would still suggest coating the proofing baskets with flour before placing your dough in them. I also like the pink color of the proofing baskets. It’s cute. They can be a little bit tricky with cleaning because of the indents that allow it to collapse. I like how easy they are to store. I enjoyed the bread bags for keeping my own bread as well as handing it out to friends and family! Everything is easy to store in my personal baking box. Overall this is a great kit for people starting and significantly improved my loafs. I also suggest buying a food scale along side with this starter kit.

I haven’t started making sourdough yet, but I just beginning to learn to make yeast bread. This kit was very handy for me. Proofing bowl was just what I needed plus it bakes in the oven!

Comes with everything you need to start you journey with sour dough at a reasonable cost! I love that the baskets are collapsible. However, it would be nice if the kit included the liners for the baskets as well. Edit being I have since used all the products included. This kit is HANDS DOWN THE BEST KIT FOR THE PRICE. The basket liners are NOT a necessity and do not leave any unwanted lines or ridges in your loaf if you flour accordingly before scoring. I would definitely purchase this kit again!
