Sugary sweet
Like the other reviewer who gave three stars, this was far too sugary for me, and I thought the story line a tad unbelievable/unrealistic. The boss and the bride’s uncle (in loco parentis) staying behind after the wedding to tidy up? Please! Right in the middle we had a short scene from the point of view of one of the secondary characters and i have no idea why. The epilogue was also from another point of view. I suspect this was to set up the couple for the next story.

Girly lovestory
I found this book to be a little bitpredictable. It was a proper romantic fiction. A little dull for me.

poor
Sorry to say that I didnt enjoy this book. The story line is so predictable that you know how it will end by the end of the first chapter. The Characters were superficial and a little soppy and the lead character Liz is completely unbelievable. I only managed to finish the book by skipping pages. Wont be buying the next one.

A good romance
Liz Wilkinson has finally landed her dream job overseeing Married in Malibu, a new wedding venue for the Hollywood elite that promises perfect, paparazzi-free happily ever afters. She vows to do whatever it takes to put the new company on the map. Even if it means working with her ex-fiancé...and pretending to be in love with him again, too!.A sweet clear romance

Perfect for those who love a beautiful, sweet PG romance
This is such a super sweet romance - and best of all you get two weddings for the price of one. Married in Malibu is the first book in a new series by Lucy Kevin aka Bella Andre. I must say I prefer the electricity of Bella Andre's penmanship but this was a lovely read. The story goes Liz and Jason were engaged years ago & Liz broke the engagement & ran away without an explanation leaving Jason devastated. Now Liz is given the job of her life, opening & managing an incredibly exclusive wedding destination in Malibu. Before she gets the venue set up & running, she is given the chance of a lifetime... A famous actress, Amber, was supposed to marry the love of her life in France, however needs to change the venue as her life has become a public fiasco with an unrelenting paparazzi. Her uncle, Jason, says he'll take care of it & decides to see if Married in Malibu would be willing to open early & handle the wedding on site & to keep it a secret from the media. Liz & Jason agree to put their past behind them to make this wedding work.Unfortunately, a blogger from LA Fame Scene caught Jason leaving after a visit to discuss plans with Liz. In order to keep her from writing about the wedding of his niece, Amber - so Jason & Liz agree to a fake engagement to confuse her. They tell her they are planning their wedding. So, the dates, the romance, the memories, the wedding plans & details - the story begins. Perfect for those of us who love a beautiful PG romance.

a sweet clean romance
THE BEACH WEDDING is a standalone read with a HEA. The story starts 10 years after the young couple's breakup just days before their wedding. Jason was devastated when Liz left him just days before the wedding without a word of WHY. He was a very talented writer that needed to spread his wings and get a bit of life experiences behind him before he could be the writer he was destined to be. Liz could see he was devoting more time to her than fulfilling his dream of being a great writer so she left. She also had dreams and was not fulfilling that dreams either.Ten years later Jason is a world famous writer and Liz has just got the opportunity of a lifetime being the director of an event venue, Married in Malibu. The venue has not even opened when her first client shows up and asks her to put on a wedding for his niece, a famous movie star. Her client is Jason. All the old feelings come back. Liz seems a bit immature to me. I do believe I could plan a wedding of the year after reading this book. Every step in putting on a wedding with an unlimited budget is discussed. The book is written by Bella Andrea's alter ego, Lucy Kevin. She is the sweeter version of Bella. It is an innocent story of two lovers that parted ways and then come back together. For those that enjoy the sweeter side of stories, I would definitely recommend it. There are a lot of single characters being introduced that will probably get their own story in other books of this series.I was not paid for this review. I am not a writer nor do I know one. I am not kin to this author. I am a reader and this is my opinion, nothing more, nothing less. 6/6/19

Don't waste your time it's exasperating.
I am so sick and tired of reading poor attempts at writing. The deficiencies are numerous. Could of used some good editing and proofreading. Just relaying on spell check doesn't cut it. Plus what's up with consistently refering to your place of business by it's full name instead of work, venue etc. Who talks like that. It's ridiculous, repetitive, and annoying. Especially, when you do is several times in the same section. Annoying. The main characters act more like children then adults. They were engaged to be married, but she dumps him days before the wedding because she feels overwhelmed. SERIOUSLY!!!!! How about spending time working on the actual relationship by communicating. Instead of wasting time on stupid stuff like a color scheme. People spend ridiculous amounts of time and money on details for one party day and give no attention to the actual marriage that is suppose to last a lifetime. No wonder some marriages don't last more than a couple of months that's because people aren't mature enough to get married. So 10 years later they meet again and do the same dang thing. Why people thing just because they have chemistry and are good in bed will solve all there problems is beyond me. You have to get out of bed eventually and deal with the real issues you're avoiding and fix the problems. Otherwise, you wouldn't have anything substantial to build on. It is a ridiculous storyline with no real substance. Lots of fluff. Filled with repetitive cliches that show no original thinking. One of the worst books I've read this year. 1 star is too good for this thing. Avoid it at all cost. Not worth the frustration and annoyance it will cause you to struggle thru a couple of chapters before you give it up as a lost cause.

Corral
There is something about this book that is Twilight-esque. When the two main characters see one another again for the first time in 10 years, instantaneously, they are in love again. The authors address the very valid reasons the characters broke up, but none of the reasons why they were together way back when or why they would be interested in dating now. Seriously, I just didn’t care about either the lead characters of this book or the whinging of the secondary characters.

What a deliciously sweet romance
“What a deliciously sweet romance”The Beach Wedding book #1 of the new series “Married in Malibu” by Lucy Kevin AKA Bella AndreWhat can I say? Lucy Kevin is the pen name for my favorite contemporary romance author Bella Andre. She’s kicking off a brand new series “Married in Malibu” and it promises to be a huge success. Sometimes we just need the sweet and delicious instead of the down and dirty.Liz Wilkinson just landed her dream job. Manager of “Married in Malibu” a wedding venue for the rich and famous of Hollywood promising a perfect day for the special couples without being hounded by the paparazzi. Liz handpicked and hired her staff. The cream of the crop, the best in what they do. With just over two weeks left everything was coming together on the renovations for their grand opening. Until an unexpected client knocked on her door. Jason Lomax bestselling thriller author and Liz’s ex-fiancé needed a wedding venue for his famous actress niece. The paparazzi were making a circus out of her wedding venue and plans and she just couldn’t take it anymore. He heard about the venue through the owners of the “Rose Chalet” who just happened to be the owners of “Married in Malibu.” What he hadn’t expected was to see the woman he was engaged to and who walked out on him two weeks before their wedding without so much as a letter ten years ago. He was left destroyed and broken and really never fully recovered. Liz was his love, his heart and his soul. Now his past was staring him in the face. Could he do this, for his niece, but the big question could Liz do this? After the initial shock faded Liz knew she had to put on her professional face for the sake of “Married in Malibu.” This would put the new venue where it needed to be. The only caveat he needed the wedding to happen in two weeks. Liz did not commit but said she would talk to her staff to see if they could even be ready for such an affair and would get back to him as soon as she had an answer. Her staff was the best and yes they said it could be done so she placed the call to Jason. As they days progressed a reporter somehow, someway made her way onto the property and was taking pictures and asking Jason questions about his nieces wedding and had the venue changed. In an effort to divert the reporter he planned an elaborate scene to throw them off by putting himself in the lime light with Liz. What started out as fake (but did it really) they were spotted about the town on dates. When confronted once again by the pesky reporter on a hike they did the unthinkable and he laid a kiss on Liz. That one kiss totally convinced the reporter and her comments were priceless, but it also sealed a deal in Jason’s mind to win Liz back. You see during one of their meetings Jason finally confronted Liz and asked why she left with no word and never tried to get in touch with him. When she finally broke and told him he was shocked to say the least. He did not expect that as her reason.Undeniably the attraction between them was off the charts and it was clear they both were still madly in love with each other. But Liz ran again and Jason was destroyed. It wasn’t until Rose and Tamara (owner of Malibu T & Coffee) sat with Liz as she balled her heart out and finally admitted YES she loved Jason but was scared that Rose said she had to win him back. The plan was set in motion and the jig was on. I totally enjoyed this read and honestly can’t wait for the next to release. 5 Stars

A sweet new series!
Married in Malibu is the first book in a new series by Lucy Kevin aka Bella Andre. Liz and Jason were engaged years ago & Liz broke the engagement & ran away. Now Liz is given the job of her life, opening & managing the Malibu version of the Rose Chalet (from the Four Weddings & a Fiasco series). Before she could get the venue set up & running, she was given the chance of a lifetime. An up & coming actress, Amber, was supposed to marry the love of her life in France. However, her life was becoming overcome with wedding details & was causing way too much stress. Her uncle, Jason, says he'll take care of it & decides to see if Married in Malibu would be willing to open early & handle the wedding on site & to keep it secret from the media. Liz & Jason agree to put their past behind them to make this wedding work.Unfortunately, a blogger from LA Fame Scene caught Jason leaving after a visit to discuss plans with Liz. In order to keep her from writing about the wedding of his niece, Amber, Jason & Liz agree to a fake engagement to confuse her. They tell her they are planning their wedding. This throws them together even more & the plans & intimacy cause them to realize the Sparks are still there. Can they resolve the past & move through it? Will Amber's wedding be ruined?Lucy Kevin writes the simple sweet romantic stories while Bella Andre writes hot, steamy, sexy love stories. The stories have the same detailed plot lines & wonderful characters that Bella Andre puts in her other series. She manages to hook you from the beginning & keep you involved until the end. You are rooting for love to win over all obstacles & for the characters to have their own HEA. Can't wait for Book 2!

Lucy knows how to write romance!!!
Fabulous! Wonderful! Outstanding! I can use each and every one of these words plus many more describe this well written book. It is a very well written sweet romance novel of second chance love. Ms. Kevin does not pull any punched in pulling the readers heart strings. And she pulls them really hard. The Beach Wedding is the first book in a sort of new series by Lucy Kevin, Married in Malibu. You see this is a sister series to the Four Weddings and a Fiasco series (fantastic as well). You have read the blurb on the book, so I will not write any more about the story because I do not want to give anything away. I will say that my favorite line in the book is: “Actually, you look like forever”. Sigh!!! You will need to read the book to find my favorite line and get the full impact of the line. I know you will enjoy finding it.A Lucy Kevin book will get you every time! I Started reading Lucy Kevin several years ago, July 2013 to be precise. I fell in love with her writing then when reading the sister series, I mentioned above. Last year I started reading, gorge reading really, a series about the Sullivan family and discovered another fabulous author Bella Andre. Yeah, I know what can I say. A PHENOMENAL author under any name.Thank you for reading my review. Go ahead, one-click The Beach Wedding, I did. You will not be disappointed. I cannot wait for the next in this series, The Summer Wedding, to be released later this year.I was gifted with a pre-release arc of this book for my honest opinion. FABTABULOUS!!!!

Beautiful.
Everything about this story is beautiful. The characters, the story itself, the setting and the love that went into writing it. Liz is in charge of the wedding venue, Married in Malibu. When her ex-fiance shows up to book a wedding for his movie star niece, pressure is on. The venue isn't even open for business, and he wants the secret, private wedding to be held in two weeks. The terrific staff members Liz hired were up for the challenge. I couldn't put this book down. I really love sweet stories like this. Wonderful.

Pure Romance and Passion That I Couldn't Put Down!
The Beach Wedding is the first book in the new series, Married in Malibu, by Bella Andre under her pen name, Lucy Kevin. I started the book late at night and I couldn't put it down. The book is set in a wedding venue in Malibu that sounds absolutely scrumptious. Like many readers of this genre, the talk of weddings, regarding the beauty and the challenges they bring, uplifted my mood. The number of characters was perfect to keep the story moving and clear, but it showed the potential for a lot of romantic entanglements.Liz Wilkinson is a great character. She is a strong woman with a good heart. I liked her loyalty to her new employers and her dedication to her clients and staff. Jason Lomax is a great love interest for Liz. He is the kind of man that every girl wants to pursue her. The passion between these two characters is realistic and the longevity of it is very romantic. Reading about these two got my blood pumping and raised my mood. The fun in the book are the obstacles in the path of these two getting together and how they deal with them. Of course, circumstances and other people always seem to get in the way. What fun! I look forward to more books in this series. Weddings set the perfect scene for emotional stories and these stories are something we all can relate to.

Very disappointing!
I have enjoyed many books by this author, so I was sadly disappointed to see this sad attempt. It was excellent, for awhile, until Liz, apparently a strong capable, intelligent woman, suddenly turns into an immature, whiny idiot. Her rationale made no sense at all, and I couldn't finish it. I don't think she deserved a HEA. I hate writing bad reviews, but I wanted to throw my Kindle across the room! I'm returning book 2.
