I recently got my braces off a few months ago (I'm an adult lol) and I had pre-made trays. My dentist had given me a whitening gel to finish the desired look. I never had any issues with it. Even though he told me to use it for an hour each day, I usually ended up sleeping with them in. I recently ran out and he is kind of far and not sure what the charge would be for another syringe so I just figured it would be quicker and cheaper to order online...First of all, this stuff is strong. Like someone else said, there is no precision pinpoint tip that screws on like the one from the dentist. So it is a little challenging to get the tiny amount that you need. It was tough to last for 45 minutes. For me, it wasn't constant burning. But certain spots were more sensitive than others and my fillings felt like someone was jabbing a pick in there... that's probably because they need to be fixed but still that's how strong it is.Now yes, when I took them out I definitely noticed they were whiter and I didn't have yellow teeth to begin with. I did notice though that I did indeed get a chemical burn because some areas of my gums were white. I honestly had no idea what it was until I googled it.Anyways, I just so happened to have to go to the dentist today and I shamefully told him what I did. He said it okay to buy it online but then I told him what percentage it said, his eyes widened and he chuckled. He said even if you had been whitening consistently for years, 44% is still too strong. He said in all his years the only time he's ever seen a perctage that high be used is if someone got a root canal and the tooth needs to be whitened from the inside. He also reminded me that whitening is about removing the stains layer by layer after consistent use, not just one quick strong session. I was being impatient and ended up doing more harm than good because my teeth are very sensitive today.Also, yes it is grainy like sand and does taste like poison. I didn't feel comfortable swallowing my spit unlike the one from the dentist.Moral of the story, it works but the tortoise wins the race.

Well, this does work. It’s good peroxide for whitening your teeth. I just put it on my teeth with my fingers and then chomp down on a whitening device and plug it into my phone. I also put it in my customized teeth, mold when sleeping. I just keep a syringe in the car or whatever and I’ll stick it on my teeth when I’m driving I put the plastic inserts in my mouth and then I can be whitening my teeth while I’m driving around.

Bought the large bag. This will go a l9ng way. Expires in 2028 so good shelf life. I got the 44% Really Strong & sensitive to a crown I need replaced. Go very light & short time with applying. Says 1x weekly. I advise just that!

Burns and stings I don’t wanna hear the tongue, other works well

I bought cheek retractors for $7.00 on Amazon to push my cheeks aside; I apply the teeth whitening gel directly to my front top and bottom teeth in a thick amount; I use a little paint brush to apply it to the tops and sides of my bottom back teeth and the sides of my top back teeth; I leave it in for 1 hour standing over my bathroom sink as my saliva falls out of my mouth into the sink; I shine a bright LED flashlight in my mouth because I read Dentists shine a LED light on a person's teeth to help whiten them faster. You have to have a lot of patience; Make sure to wipe off any gel that burns your gums; Sometimes I have to use toilet paper to remove gel that fell onto my lower front teeth gums; Then I have to re-apply gel to some areas. It's messy and you need patience. Most people will have to repeat this process 5 to 10 times to get their teeth really white looking [A few times will not be enough for most people to get them white]. Skip 1 to 5 days before whitening them again to give your gums and teeth time to rest/heal; Try it for 20 minutes first; Then try 30 minutes; Then try 45 minutes; You will eventually learn how long you can handle it; If you feel burning on your gums use toilet paper to remove the gel from where it is burning; It's messy but it is making your teeth whiter. Dentists charge $600 or more for teeth whitening; This is a much cheaper option.

I have went through two syringes with no change(ALSO USING BLUE LIGHT). I have also used real professional whitening peroxide with the same srtrength from the dentist which caused the gums to burn immediately if you got it on them. This did none of that. I am going to try it once more time after this exchange to see if I just got a bad batch or something but this is not what I ordered.Edit: Received the exchange and it was of very little difference besides just a little bit of burning on my gums. This strength is definitely nowhere near 44% and the gel itself has crystalized leaving it chunky looking not smooth looking. As much as I need teeth whitening for my 51 year old mild coffee stained teeth this isn't it and will be asking for a refund.
