What material is the panel made of, i.e. what provides the sound absorption?

It seems like a microfiber sort of material. It’s almost felt-like but not completely felt. It’s similar to a microfiber fabric you’d see on an armchair. They do help for overall sound absorption.

Would this help out a someone whom is vary loud and disturbes those around them? i shoud probably mention this person is a gaming live streamer.
