This is a flame shaped LED bulb with a gilded glass designed with LEDs but made to look like an old style filament bulb. The gilded finish to the glass gives it an old-world antique look and lets you see the ‘filaments’; so it’s ideal for use in an open light fitting without a shade.The use of LEDs in a filament shape appears to remove the need for electronics I’ve seen in other similar bulbs, where the bottom half houses the electronics and only the top emits light. Here the bulb looks identical to an old style filament bulb with the entire bulb being made of glass.Although shaped like a candle, the bulb does not have any flicker effect. It shines quite brightly and in a multiple light fitting with several of these bulbs you’d have no trouble lighting a room.
