I got this tool because we moved to a new home and have spent significant time hanging pictures and making sure that they are in the right place at the right height. We have left a few holes on our walls from attempts to hang a few pictures and art right. But since I got this little device our problems were solved. I am particularly happy with the straight line and cross hair features because they allow me to clearly visualize where things will go on the walls. The precision with which this small unit measures is better than anything I could do with a measuring tape. My only problem with it is not the device but the user's manual which is sometimes hard to understand and the instructions printed in a font so small that I needed a magnifying glass to read them! At the very least, the company should provide an online manual that can be seen on a computer screen!

I build a lot of things and do plenty of DIY, so having something to measure length/distance with is just sort of a lifestyle. I typically have small 10 ft tapes in my glove compartment or backpack, and those do pretty well to be honest. But I was intrigued if a laser tool like this could serve much of a benefit in my workflow and it turns out to be really handy for measurements on the fly. I first started just measuring things around the house and immediately recognized how efficient it could be for parameterizing a room, for example: a small fraction of what it takes to stretch out tapes, reel them in, not crease them... But then I figured, this must just be for estimation and couldn't be very accurate. I was wrong. It was rather surprising to me to discover that it is in the 100ths/in accuracy range, and that it can be set to measure from the bottom or top, to boot. Great little tool that has landed in my backpack for the foreseeable future.

I tested this out by measuring the square footage of my house, and it was spot on. That said, I had to experiment with it a little bit to figure out how to work it. Maybe I need a new prescription, but text in the instruction booklet was so minuscule, I could barely make anything out. So until I find the patience to sit down and really read that manual, I can only do one thing with this. But it does it well, and I'm sure that others who are more familiar with this type of device won't have any issues. I'm very happy with it, if only the instructions were printed a little larger.

This is the first time I've had one of these laser measuring tools although I've wanted one for a long time. I'm so glad I got this. It works perfectly and it's easy to use. It's lightweight but it is very well-made. I don't think it will break if you happen to drop it.Its compact size is ideal for me as I have to carry it around quite a bit. It measures in both metric and our own imperial system. It can also measure angles. It's quite easy to read which is a big help to me. It's rechargeable. No more worrying about batteries and it holds a charge for a long time.It did take me a while to figure out how to use it properly as I had never used one before but the instructions were a big help. For this price, it's an excellent measuring tool.

At first glance, the display might seem complex but fear not. With the comprehensive instructions, the different lines and numbers become intuitive, making it a user-friendly experience. The backlit LCD and easy-to-read main functions add to the comfort of use, although some readings, like the angle, might be a tad small.Rest assured, this unit is not just light; it's also robust, thanks to its brushed aluminum case. It even comes with a storage pouch and wrist strap, although the loop threading can be a bit awkward.It has many features for measuring in different units, metric and imperial, as well as area and volume. It also has a built-in level, so it can measure the angle of something from 0 to 90 degrees. It stores multiple measurements that can be recalled, eliminating the measure twice, cut once adage. There is also the ability to measure from the front edge or the back edge of the unit.It claims to measure up to 197 ft, although I have only used it for short distances. When calibrated, it does appear to be very accurate.Another nice feature is the laser crosshair, which can be turned on or off to measure levels, etc. When I received it, it was fully charged, but it can be recharged using a standard USB-C connector.

This MAYSYU laser tape measure is a great time-saver for DIY projects. The laser accuracy is good, and the multiple measurement functions are useful. The battery life could be better, and the screen could be a bit brighter in low light. Overall, it's a solid choice for most home improvement tasks.

This is a cool little laser measuring tape! It is very small, but works great! Once you've played with it a little, it becomes pretty easy to use. It does numerous types of measuring. It works indoors and outdoors too. This thing is really interesting and actually kind of fun to use. The display is clear and easy to read. Excellent accuracy. Nice solid feel to it. Good quality. You can use this so many different ways. I like that you can measure from the bottom or top of the device. I really like the crosshair/leveling option. Perfect for hanging pictures. This is just a really cool laser measuring tape. It has been very handy around the house. Love it

When I received this measuring tool, I was a little overwhelmed. After reading the tiny instructions, I was a bit confused but finally understood what was needed to get a an accurate measurement. I like the different options, which quickly allows me to measure different angles without wasting my time doing it manually (as I've done in the past). The best feature is that all I have to do is charge it via a USB instead of continually changing batteries.
