Lectron is one of the better known and respected brands of EV chargers and I ordered this to set up a charging station at my wife's office. I know that many of you might not care about the aesthetics of your EV charger but my wife does. I've looked at too many EV chargers to count and this is definitely one of the best looking. It looks sleek and modern. The 'V' shaped light on the front of the device is actually functional--it communicates information like connection, charging, wi-fi connection, and error messages. Personally, I like to have more information 'front and center' on the device itself but my wife loves the way this looks. Since it also happens to be a very solid charger I deferred to her on this point.The device is controlled by the smartphone app. Even though that's the way I use my EV charger the most I still like the ability to control the process from the device if necessary. That's not a huge deal but it is a personal preference and worth noting. The app--like the charger--is very sleek, functional and robust. You can control all of the relevant functions from the app, schedule charging time and monitor the charging process.The charger has a NEMA 14-50 outlet but I hardwired it. You get a few more amps out of it this way but the main recent I did it is I like wiring things. The 16' cable is a bit short by market standards though definitely long enough for my wife's needs. As I've told people in the past when asked about EV chargers 'if you need more cable just get an extension'. The charger is IP65 waterproof--that's not an issue for my use case (it's installed in a covered parking structure) but I'd rather have it than not.My few 'personal preference' issues notwithstanding, this is really a high quality charger. Given how good it is the price point is very reasonable. Highly recommended!

The first think I liked about this EV charging station was all in the name, as Lectron is one of the most recognizable names in EV chargers and known for their quality products.In regards to this specific charging station, I don't have anything negative to report. I love the sleek design and the way it looks is appealing to me. I especially like the V-shaped light on the front. I also really like the app control for the charging station, it has everything you need at your fingertips, offering remote control of the charging station settings, based on your needs at any given time.This charging station is perfect to have as a secondary EV charging station for your office or second residence. I would highly recommend it to anyone in the market for a second charging station.

I purchased this charging station to work with my 2024 Prelude, and for that it works, however, I did get it professionally installed. I selected the "Hardwired" variant, but that doesn't mean anything, as I was sent a NEMA plug anyway, and there were just checkboxes and stickers on the box, saying otherwise.The big surprise was after it was hard wired into the panel, and going to be mounted, there was NO MOUNTING PLATE - even the instructions claimed that there was one included. After contacting the company, no support was offered, only to return the unit to Amazon, even though it was hard wired and would require additional electrical expenses in order to remediate the issue. Currently it's on a temporary mount, while hoping the Attorney General of Minnesota (where Lectron has their US Address) can intervene.Stay clear of this unit, do not buy, it's missing parts and has been nothing but a headache.UPDATE -I was finally able to get a mounting plate sent, and Lectron asked for me to adjust my score, which will not happen. The device frequently drops connection from the network, so app features don't work. Even 6 weeks after having this, I would say steer clear. I wish I would have had a little more time that getting a Chargepoint or Emportia device would have been practical.

I got this as a redesign from my maturing Juice Box Expert 40. The application on my old station worked no more and, with its age, I was dreading an up and coming destruction. Lectron is a notable name in EV items and this level 2 EVSE doesn't disappoint. The case is not difficult to introduce with four screws into the wall and four additional screws into the actual unit. It's likewise fast to set with the application (which is exceptionally exact coincidentally). I have mine modified to a maximum of 32 amps as my vehicle just draws 28 with no guarantees. 48 amps will be A lot for the vast majority. However, one thing I didn't comprehend until glancing through the directions... to use its limit of 48 amps, the container should be designed. It feels quite extreme. I like that you can do direct connection and play without requiring application use. The expense is extremely high, but it seems, by all accounts, to be solid and works constantly as yet, so wouldn't worry the extravagant expense. The 25-foot versatile connection offers above and beyond reach, simplifying it to relate my vehicle easily. Whether mounted inside or outside, the intense arrangement and NEMA 14-50 fitting assurance a safeguarded and strong affiliation.
