Gluten free bubbly goodness! Great teaching tool for kids!
WOW. Bubbly gluten free goodness! I wish I would’ve started my sourdough journey with living doughs starters! Would’ve saved me so much discouragement! What a Strong starter! Fed it two days after receiving bc came in sooner than anticipated! Next day after feeding it was alive and well around 30hrs. Day 2 is shown in the video, that was 20hrs after feeding! so bubbly and grew really fast! Instructions it came with were so easy to follow. I kept my starter at78 degrees in a sourdough home, fed it the recommended organic brown rice flour. The starter has a deep delicious “sour” aroma, beautiful. It bubbles as beautifully as my wheat sourdough starter I had before going gluten free which was a pleasant surprise. Great science (and life!) teaching tool for kids, I made it my toddlers “pet” and they were excited to wake up and see how it’s grown everyday morning. Will add another review when we make some flatbread and crackers! Thanks for an outstanding product Living Dough!

Love this gf starter
I love this gf starter. I got it one year ago and used it regularly for a year with great results. It makes the best pizza dough. I neglected it this summer. I went ahead and ordered another starter last week. It was ready for use after 1 feeding. Thank you for making gf sourdough so easy.

Best GF Starter
Amazing, truly the best and easiest way to start gluten free sourdough. Highly recommend. It grew within a day or so and I’ve had it alive for months now.

Hopeful
This looks hopeful. I received it today and I have done gluten-free sourdough before but the amount I did got totally out of hand. This is a very small amount at first I thought it would be dehydrated, but it wasn't it's liquid and the container it came in was perfectly sealed nothing wrong with it the box that it arrived in was perfect. I don't see any issues with this item, if it fails to bubble my thought is to get some organic raisins and make some raisin water to help it along. Fingers crossed and also hopefully it won't become out of control again for me

Would recommend
This worked excellent. Things were going very well with our starter (and had cooked many delicious things) until we ran out of flour and had an untimely snowstorm. Sadly Doughlene developed some unfriendly growths after too long without being fed and had to be tossed out. Rest in power.

I still found it a pain to use.
Wasn't impressed.

Poor value and of uncertain source and contents.
This starter seems to be active and making a few bubbles so far after feeding, but I wouldn't buy it again. First, It took 11 days to arrive after ordering, and you can easily make your own in much less time using just flour and water. It's also pretty obvious that it was created and shipped by an individual at their home with no kind of outside regulation or inspection. The label has very little information on it and seems to have been cut by hand with scissors. The small container arrived with some kind of food crumbs stuck all over the outside, and there was no seal on the lid. It was wrapped in a trimmed and reused USPS priority envelope but then shipped by UPS ground. It came with a condiment-sized gel pack for cooling, that was probably effective for all of half an hour on it's long journey. The container was at-most half full with a mixture that had separated into wet and dry parts by the time it was received. Perhaps that’s normal, but it’s not appealing. I thought that the included page of instructions were written in a disorganized and confusing manner, so much that so that I had to read over them many times to make sure I had the right idea. I feel like this should be sold on Etsy, not Amazon, or just not sold at all, really. I’d highly recommend just making it from scratch yourself and "saving your dough".
